"I'm Running Good for the First Time in Two Years"

Kathy Liebert is running good this WSOP.
Kathy Liebert is running good this WSOP.

We found Kathy Liebert getting paid off after she doubled up against Dustin Fox. Liebert held {Q-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} against Fox's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}. The board ran {2-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} and Liebert's rivered straight prompted her to look at us and say, "I'm running good for the first time in two years."

The purple clad veteran has her second cash of this WSOP and is looking for her second bracelet.

Terry Makes Lay Down of the Year?

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Todd Terry laid down a full house.
Todd Terry laid down a full house.

We found this hand developing on the turn between Todd Terry and Thijmen Stocker. The board showed {7-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds} {J-Spades}, Stocker bet 9,000 and Terry called. The river fell {A-Clubs}, Stocker checked and Terry bet 25,000. Stocker check-raised to 65,000 and Terry shook his in visible shock.

"I can't believe you'd be bad enough to do that with kings," Terry said after a few moments. Terry sank deep in to the tank and after a full two minutes he prodded, "Second nut no good here, huh?"

Stocker didn't reply and Terry continued to tank. He counted his stack, double checked his cards and sighed. Terry sat there a little while longer and then folded {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} face up. That's right, he folded aces full of jacks face up, giving Stocker tons of credit.

Williamson Nears 100k

Robert Williamson III spiked an ace on the river.
Robert Williamson III spiked an ace on the river.

We caught up with this hand on the flop of {Q-Spades} {5-Spades} {2-Spades}. Robert Williamson III moved all in and his opponent called.

RWIII: {A-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}
Opponent: {2-Hearts} {2-Hearts}

Williamson was way behind his opponent but the dealer must have Barry Greenstein's book because the river fell {A-Spades} and Williamson took the pot.

Darner Calls Seven Bets to Take Lead

Mark Darner is the new leader
Mark Darner is the new leader

When we arrived at Matt Matros' table him and Mark Darner were deeply involved in a hand. At this point, Darner was confirming the amount of Matros' five-bet and then announcing a six-bet. It was here that Matros seven-bet all-in. Darner snap called and Matros said, "Have you got aces?" as he turned over {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. When Darner turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}, the whole table erupted, none more so than Mike Matusow who got out of his chair and shouted, "I've seen a lot of things in poker, but never that many bets with ace-king."

"This is for the tournament right here," said Matusow as he had yet to calm down and take his seat.

Darner had over 300,000 behind when he made the all-in call and Matros watched on as the dealer spread a {8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop on the felt. He was good so far and if he won this pot, he would have over a million in chips - which would almost be the chip average heading into the final table. The {10-Diamonds} on the turn was also safe, but there was still one card to come.

River: {a-Spades}

Matros, the whole table and most of the room couldn't believe what they just saw. Matros sent the majority of his stack to Darner who now holds a big chip lead over the field.

Matt Gets Matty's Chips

Matt Glantz is one of the new chip leaders
Matt Glantz is one of the new chip leaders

When we came to Matt Glantz's table we noticed that he was all-in holding {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} against Matty Levine's {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}. We didn't catch the action, but according to the table, Levine opened the button to 16,000. Glantz was in the big blind and three-bet to 41,000. Levine then four-bet all in, having his opponent covered. It's safe to assume Glantz snapped him off with his aces.

Glantz's stack was 334,500 and that would be what Levine owed Glantz as the board ran out {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. With that, Glantz is one of out chip leaders, while Levine is needing some help.

Asad Goodarzy Eliminated in 18th Place ($17,323)

Asad Goodarzy - 18th Place
Asad Goodarzy - 18th Place

The first elimination after our table redraw has just occurred. The player in question was Asad Goodarzy. It was all-in preflop for Goodarzy holding {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Unfortunately he would run into the {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} of Mark Darner and by the time the {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs} board had run out, it was all over in 18th place for Goodarzy.

Frank Kassela Eliminated in 15th Place ($17,323)

Frank  - 15th Place
Frank - 15th Place

With his recent elimination in 15th place, Frank Kassela is now on his way to the other side of the Amazon Room to take part in the Event 18: $2,500 Seven Card Razz.

The last hand of Kassela's night began when Matt Matros opened to 26,000 from under the gun. Randy Christing called on the button and then Kassela three-bet all in from the button. Matros made the call and Christing got out of the way as Kasella got to his first, turning over {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

Matros held {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and would need some help to take down the hand. The help didn;t come on the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, but the {a-Diamonds} turn was a good one for Matros. A brick on the river and it was all over for the 2010 World Series of Poker Player of the Year

Randy Christing Eliminated in 13th Place ($17,323)

Randy Christing - 13th Place
Randy Christing - 13th Place

Randy Christing's elimination in 13th place has seen the 12 remaining players redraw for their seats. Christing's last hand saw him all-in holding {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} against Mark Darner's {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Clubs} board was not pretty for Christing as Darner took down another big pot and Christing was sent out the door.

With that, we will have the new table draw up for you, post haste!
