Ivey has Arrived

Phil Ivey at the Event #15 final table a short while ago
Phil Ivey at the Event #15 final table a short while ago

Earlier today Phil Ivey busted Event 15: $5,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better in seventh place $34,595. He then late registered for Event 17: $10,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em and is actually doing quite well there. Nonetheless, that hasn't stopped him from pulling double duty and playing in this event. We expect he'll be bouncing between the two throughout the night.

Stern Takes Some From Nassif

Three-time gold bracelet winner Max Stern is currently seat right in front of us in Seat 8 on Table 353. Who does he have to contend to on his left? None other than 11-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth, though we haven't seen the two square off as of yet.

With that said, we did see Stern just take a pot off Gabriel Nassif. It happened when the latter completed and the former called. Stern then led out when he took the lead on the turn, which inspired Nassif to fold.

Nassif: (x-x) / {2-}{10-}
Stern: (x-x) / {8-}{7-}
