Gags Makes Wheel, Busts Doft

Mickey Doft - eliminated.
Mickey Doft - eliminated.

Mickey Doft: {x-}{x-} / {a-}{9-}{2-}
Michael Gagliano: {x-}{x-} / {5-}{q-}{2-}

Mike "Gags30" Gagliano completed with a five up, Doft called with an ace, and the two were off to fourth street. Doft led out, and Gagliano called. Both players received deuces on fourth, and that's when all the money went in. Doft bet, Gagliano instantly raised, and Doft stuck the remanded of his stack in. Gagliano called.

Doft: {8-}{7-}
Gagliano: {a-}{4-}

Doft was dealt a {j-} on fourth, Gagliano a {k-}, and seventh street was dealt facedown. Gagliano turned over a {3-}, giving him a wheel and the nuts, and Doft didn't even look at his last card, knowing that he was drawing dead.

Gagliano is now around 30,000 chips, while our hero Doft is unfortunately eliminated.

Berry Johnston Meets the Icon

Berry Johnston, who you may know as the winner of the 1986 World Series of Poker Main Event, completed with the {5-} and received a call from Bryan "The Icon" Micon, who was showing {A-}. The latter took the lead on the turn and put out a bet, which Johnston called. The veteran proceeded to call bets on fifth and sixth, but folded when Micon bet on seventh.

Johnston: (x-x) / {5-}{8-}{8-}{10-} / (x)
Micon: (x-x) / {A-}{7-}{9-}{2-} / (x)

Pezzin Finds a Double

Frankie O'Dell{x-}{x-} / {a-}{k-}
Raymond Davis{x-} / {7-}{j-}
Pat Pezzin{x-}{x-} / {7-}{2-}{j-}
Chris Back{x-}{x-} / {2-}{5-}{10-}

We caught up with the action on fourth street, where Pezzin bet and Back raised. O'Dell and Davis released, and Pezzin called. On fifth, there was a bet, a raise all in, and a call. Pezzin tabled {6-}{5-}, and Back showed {a-}{4-}. Pezzin picked up running eights to make an eighty-seven, while Back was dealt two face cards.

Pezzin more than doubled to around 20,000 chips.

Taylor Dispatches Swan

Chris Swan got the last of his chips in on fifth street and was behind Brendan Taylor. We didn't get the exact order of Taylor's cards as they were tabled too quickly, but we do know that Swan was left drawing dead on sixth.

Swan: {2-}{5-} / {4-}{Q-}{K-}{J-} / {9-}
Taylor: {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}

Other recent eliminations include Marcus Gee and McLean Karr.

Seat 4- Michael Gagliano
Seat 5- "Miami" John Cernuto

Burbick Busts

Corey Burbick was very short coming into today - he only had one and a half small bets. He got the last of his chips in the middle with a {4-} showing, Michael Noori completed with a {2-}, and another player called with a {5-}. On fourth street, Noori bet, and his opponent called, but on fifth, Noori's opponent mucked. The boards ran out like this.

Burbick | {a-}{q-} / {4-}{10-}{9-}{6-} / {k-}
Noori | {7-}{3-} / {2-}{7-}{4-}{a-} / {j-}

Burbick was eliminated, while Noori shipped the small pot.

Last Year's Runner-Up Eliminated

We didn't catch the hand, but we can confirm that last year's runner-up, Stephen Su, has been eliminated from the tournament. He started the day with just 3,600, and unfortunately for him he couldn't run it up. Likewise, Ingram Boykins and Corey Burbick have joined him on the rail.

Wong Leaves Gaziev Drawing Dead

We didn't catch the action, but we saw Sardor Gaziev walking away from Table 436. We glanced at the table as saw that he was drawing dead headed into seventh street against Jerry Wong and didn't even stick around to see his last card.

Wong: {9-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{A-}
Gaziev: {2-}{5-} / {K-}{7-}{J-}{K-} / {5-}

Wong is up to 25,000.
