Mercier Drops One

The cutoff seat raised to 450 and Jason Mercier called from the big blind to see the flop come down {K-Hearts}{J-Spades}{6-Spades}. Mercier led for 375 and his opponent called.

After the turn {J-Clubs} and river {J-Diamonds}, both players checked each time. Mercier showed just the {Q-Spades} on the end, but then mucked his hand when his opponent turned over the {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Cahlik Can't Bluff It

On the {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop, one player checked to PokerNews blogger Josh Cahlik and he bet 650. His opponent called and the turn was the {K-Spades} to pair the board, Both players checked and the river was the {Q-Diamonds}. After the first player checked again, Cahlik bet 1,800. His opponent called.

"You're good," announced Cahlik. His opponent then turned over the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} and Cahlik mucked his hand.

Mercier Goes Mashing

Jason Mercier got all in with an opponent on the {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop holding top two with the {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. His opponent held the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The turn was the {8-Clubs} and river the {4-Hearts}, keeping Mercier in front and busting his opponent.

From under the gun, Sean Getzwiller raised to 425. Action folded to Kevin MacPhee in the cutoff seat and he reraised all in for 4,550. Play got back to Getzwiller and he made the call.
