Barry Greenstein Eliminated in 12th Place ($8,169)

Barry Greenstein - 12th place
Barry Greenstein - 12th place

Barry Greenstein was short and needed to make something happen. He tried, but it didn't work out for him.

Josh Arieh two-bet from the cut-off and and Greenstein three-bet from the small blind. Benjamin Lazer called from the big blind, as did Arieh.

All three drew two cards before Greenstein bet his final 2,000. Both players called and all three discarded two more cards.

Lazer starting building a side pot as he bet 8,000. Call. Greenstein drew two once more and both opponents stood pat. Lazer bet another 8,000 and that convinced Arieh to fold.

Lazer: {5-}{4-}{6-}{7-}{2-}
Greenstein: {7-}{6-}{6-}{6-}{2-}

That was it for "The Bear". Another deep run secured in a mixed-game event.

Bryan Devonshire - 13th Place.

After losing a handful of pots, Brian Brubaker was left with a few thousand chips, and moved all in from the small blind. Benjamin Lazer called, and both players drew two cards on the first draw.

On the second draw, Brubaker drew two again, and Lazer stood pat. When Brubaker declared he was drawing one more on the third draw, Lazer fanned {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}. Brubaker had outs with {8-}{7-}{3-}{2-}, but he paired his deuce, and was eliminated.

Moments later, Bryan Devonshire, who we last counted at 25,000, was eliminated as well.

Stuart Rutter hasn't been able to get anything going since dinner and is desperately short after the last pot.

He opened and was called by Layne Flack on the button and Benjamin Lazer in the big blind. All three discarded two cards and and Rutter bet out. Flack raised and both players called.

A the second time of asking all three drew one card, and then all three checked, and drew one more each. With the last chance to bet all three checked again.

Layne Flack hunting for a second final table of the summer

Welcome back for day 2 of Event 22: $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball. Yesterday's field was culled from 228 players to 79 over eight levels of play. The aim for today is to get as close to a final table of six that ten levels of play allows.

Shawn Buchanan has the best chance of doing that as he comes back today as the clear chip leader on 61,800 chips. This is a very swingy game though and Vincent van der Fluit (48,800) Layne Flack (34,300) will be hoping for another 2012 final table appearance.

Play is due to get back underway at 2pm and the PokerNews reporting team will be on hand to bring you all the Lowball action.
