Ivey Doubles

Action folded around to the button who raised it up. The small blind called and so did a short-stacked Phil Ivey in the big blind. The flop came {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and the small blind checked. Ivey bet out and the button raised. The small blind folded and Ivey threw in the rest of his chips.

Ivey: {J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Ivey was behind but had more outs than he thought. Being Phil Ivey, however, he drilled the {10-Clubs} on the turn to make his straight. The {5-Diamonds} peeled off on the river making Ivey's opponent a set that was no good. Ivey was able to double to about 1,400.
