Seiver Doubles Up Opponent

Scott Seiver had his opponent on the ropes while playing him heads up. Seiver's opponent called a bet on a {5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} board and the {A-Hearts} turned. Seiver's opponent bet and Seiver raised enough to put him all in. His opponent called and showed {A-Clubs}{k-Spades} which was ahead of Seiver's {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

The {5-Spades} rivered and Seiver's opponent doubled to about 8,000.

Meinders Into Tomorrow

Brian Meinders has defeated his opponent heads up and will be going into Day 2.

Rice Over Nacho

We're missing our chance to eat during the dinner break, so all this talk of food is making us hungry. Sean Rice just defeated Jose "Nacho" Barbero to advanced to Wednesday's second round. Meanwhile, Alex Keating, Byron Kaverman and Blake Cahail won their respective tables and join Rice in the money.

Level 6 : 400/800, 0 ante

Tournament floor staff has given players a choice to either take the full 90-minute dinner break or play one more level and then take a half hour break. All it takes is one player at the table to want the full dinner break for the entire table to go. The largest table at this point is playing four-handed while many of the other matches in the room are either three-handed or heads up.
