Force and Sexton Cruise Through

Mike Sexton from yesterday
Mike Sexton from yesterday

Leif Force didn't even have to cash in one of his two spare lammers in defeating Darren Kramer.

Sexton's route through was just as easy. In the final hand Andy Seth shoved with {7-Spades}{9-Spades} and Sexton called with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. The board ran {q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} to make Sexton a straight.

DW Getting Short

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

David Williams is down 25,900 and his last lammer after losing a hand to Yevgeniy Timoshenko.

Timoshenko raised to 4,000 and Williams peeled to see an {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. Timoshenko continued for 3,200 and called after Williams check-raised to 8,500.

Both players checked through the the {8-Clubs} turn before Williams check-called a 9,000 bet on the {j-Hearts} river. Timoshenko opened {a-Spades}{5-Clubs} and scooped as Williams mucked.

It looks as if Williams is waiting for the PLO round, coming up shortly, to cash in his final lammer.

Ryyannen Cashes In Lammers

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

One the last remaining matches where neither player had used any of their rebuy lammers was between Andy Frankenberger and Sampo Ryyannen. Frankenberger opened a hand, Ryyannen shoved and Frankenberger called.

Frankenberger: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {9-Spades} {9-Hearts}
Ryyannen: {A-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {7-Clubs}

The board ran {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {6-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and Frankenberger's pair of nines held. Ryyannen cashed in both his remaining lammers and Frankenberger still has his two.

Obrestad Loses to Ace-King High

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

She's still in with a lammer and 31,000 chips, but Annette Obrestad couldn't believe she lost to Tres Davis' ace-king high.

Both players got the chips they could in pre flop and the cards were on their backs.

Obrestad: {j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Davis: {k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}.

Davis asked after the flop if he could win, "one time", with ace-king high and he got his wish,

Pantling Doubles, Racener Through

Andrew Pantling is back in his match with George Wolff after a big double-up.

He raised to 8,000 and then gave good thought to calling all-in for 74,000 after Wolff shoved on him.

Wolff: {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Pantling: {j-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} to make the Canadian a full house.

As this hand was playing out Vojtech Ruzicka busted to John Racener on a nearby table.

Williams Fighting Back

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

We just noticed David Williams had cashed in his last lammer when we were away from the tables. He just doubled up through Yevgeniy Timoshenko when Williams got his money in on the turn. The board showed {2-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}. Williams check-shoved the turn and Timoshenko called.

Williams turned up {Q-Clubs} {3-Clubs} and Timoshenko had {J-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. The river sent the pot to Williams when it fell {Q-Hearts}. Williams has enough chips to comfortably play but Timoshenko still has two rebuy lammers behind.
