After three fast paced days of No-Limit 2-7 Lowball we’ve got ourselves a winner! Larry Wright defeated a star-studded final table and a total of 284 players in order to claim a World Series Of Poker gold bracelet. After claiming the gold Wright said he had only learned how to play Single Draw four days ago, and accidentally mucked a deuce instead of an ace on day one when he was drawing one card. Wright didn't play as a rookie, and went on a tear today at this amazing final table!

The first player at the final table of seven who got eliminated, was short stack Ryan Tepen. He started the day with just 51,000 chips and lost the first all in pot he played, against Michael Mizrachi. Tepen stood pat and turned over {Q-}{10-}{8-}{5-}{3-} while Mizrachi broke his jack-nine. Mizrachi could've busted Tepen by standing pat, but did it anyway when he drew another jack to make a {J-}{9-}{8-}{6-}{4-}. Tepen took home $10,318 for his efforts.

Mizrachi was running away with it early on and got his stack up to 450,000 after winning numerous pots. He got some fierce competition from Andrew Lichtenberger who sent Rep Porter home in sixth earning him $14,078.

Porter started the day second in chips, but couldn't hold on to that position for long. On the final hand he played a massive pre draw all in against Lichtenberger who had the better pat hand. Porter was all in with {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} while Lichtenberger had {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}.

After this hand Erick Lindgren was the short stack while Mizrachi, Lichtenberger, and Cantu kept battling it out for the chip lead. The short stack didn't find a way to come back as he got knocked about about an hour later.

After a raise from Cantu, and a call from Mizrachi, it was Lichtenberger who made it 42,000 from the button. This was the sign for Lindgren to move all in, as he put his final 70,000 at risk from the big blind. Lichtenberger called and both players drew one card. Lichtenberger had {8-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and the better draw against Lindgren's {9-}{7-}{4-}{2-}. Lichtenberger hit a {6-} and that was it for Lindgren who was drawing dead. He would take home $19,676.

Shortly after Lindgren was knocked out we also lost Mizrachi. You could call the last level he played some sort of blow up, but Mizrachi also ended up with a lot of second best hands at showdown, some of which were pretty unlucky.

On his final hand Mizrachi got it all in pre draw against Cantu, and was in the lead with a better draw. Cantu showed {9-}{6-}{5-}{2-} and caught a {J-} giving Mizrachi plenty of outs to improve his {6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Unfortunately he caught a {2-} pairing his hand, and knocking him out in fourth place. He won $28,198 as we headed into three-handed play.

With just three players left Wright was the short stack. Lichtenberger and Cantu both had big stacks and were close to playing each other heads up. But things turned out very different. Wright started his comeback at the right time as he found himself doubling through Cantu.

After doubling up Wright kept winning pots and within a couple of hands all three stacks were dead even. From this point on Lichtenberger seemed to have lost his grip on the situation, as he quickly got shorter and shorter. Eventually Lichtenberger got eliminated in third place earning him $41,445.

On Lichtenberger's final hand he raised on the button and Wright put in a three-bet from the small blind. Lichtenberger moved all in with {9-}{6-}{5-}{3-} and drew one card. Wright stood pat and showed {J-}{10-}{9-}{8-}{4-}. Lichtenberger caught a {5-} and got eliminated.

Wright started off heads up play with a slight chip lead and never looked back. After grinding Cantu down to just 12 big blind they played the pot for the bracelet. Cantu was all in for his tournament life with a {10-}{9-}{6-}{3-} draw against Wright's {9-}{8-}{7-}{3-} draw. Wright hit a {4-} and that did it! His hand was unbeatable and Cantu's {Q-} didn't matter anymore.

Brandon Cantu got eliminated in second place earning him $63,048 while Larry Wright will walk home with his biggest prize ever, $101,975 and a World Series of Poker gold bracelet!

Branon Cantu Eliminated in 2nd Place ($63,048)

Brandon Cantu  - 2nd place
Brandon Cantu - 2nd place

The first time Brandon Cantu was all-in for his tournament life he was out.

He moved all-in from the button for around about 120,000 chips, and after a moment's thought Larry Wright made the call. Both players drew one and the cards were on their backs.

Wright: {9-}{8-}{7-}{3-}
Cantu: {10-}{9-}{6-}{3-}

Cantu needed help but when he saw Wright table a {4-} he knew he was drawing dead. His {q-} went flying through the air, and he made a quick exit with his wife.

Wright wasn't going anywhere and celebrated with his Texan rail, including wife and daughter.

Andrew Lichtenberger Eliminated in 3rd Place ($41,445)

Andrew Lichtenberger - 3rd place
Andrew Lichtenberger - 3rd place

Larry Wright took care of Andrew Lichtenberger over the course of two hands.

Lichtenberger defended his big blind after a Wright button raise. Both drew one and Lichtenberger check-called a 35,000 bet, and then mucked upon seeing Wright's {10-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}.

Lichtenberger was down to 190,000 after that hand. He raised off the button and saw Wright three-bet call Lichtenberger's shove. Wright then stood pat as his opponent tank-drew one.

Wright opened {j-}{10-}{9-}{8-}{4-}.

Lichtenberger was drawing to a nine-low with {9-}{6-}{5-}{3-} but found another {5-} to bust.

Michael Mizrachi Eliminated in 4th Place ($28,198)

Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

He was chip leader for a very long time in this tournament, but unfortunately for him the final table didn't play out as he had expected. He started the day really strong, but just crashed in fourth place taking home $28,198. The final hand played out like this.

Brandon Cantu raised it up to 8,000, and Mizrachi moved all in for his final 63,000 chips. Cantu made the call.

Both players drew one card.

Michael Mizrachi{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}
Brandon Cantu{9-}{6-}{5-}{2-}

Cantu showed a {J-}, and that gave Mizrachi plenty of outs to stay alive. He needed to hit a jack, ten, nine, eight or seven in order to stay live, but he came up short. Mizrachi turned over a {2-}, and got himself a nice round of applaus as he exited the final table stage.

Erick Lindgren Eliminated in 5th Place ($19,676)

The action hasn't slowed down for one moment here at the final table as we just lost our fifth place finisher, Erick Lindgren. From the hijack Brandon Cantu raised to 8,000 and Michael Mizrachi made the call from the cutoff.

Andrew Lichtenberger was on the button, and quickly threw in a three-bet to 42,000. Larry Wright gave up his small blind after which Erick Lindgren moved all in for a total of 70,000 from the big blind. Cantu and Mizrachi folded, Lichtenberger made the call.

Both players drew one card.

Andrew Lichtenberger{8-}{5-}{3-}{2-}
Erick Lindgren{9-}{7-}{4-}{2-}

"Will you show me if i'm live, 'Chewy'?" Lindgren asked his opponent who told the dealer to just deal his card face up.

Lichtenberger hit a {6-}, and that did it for Lindgren who could no longer win the hand. To wrap things up Lindgren hit an {a-} and walked out with a $19,676 payday.

Rep Porter Eliminated in 6th Place ($14,078)

Rep Porter
Rep Porter

Rep Porter started the day second in chips, but that was no guarantee for the big money as he just got eliminated by Andrew Lichtenberger.

The action started with a raise from Lichtenberger who was under the gun. He made it 8,000 to go after which Porter three-bet from the button to 28,000. Brandon Cantu and Michael Mizrachi gave up their blinds, and it was back on Lichtenberger. After a good ten seconds he declared himself to be all in. Porter had to make a decision for his tournament life, and folding would leave him with just 86,000 chips. After a while he made the call.

Both players stood pat.

Lichtenberger turned over {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}, and had started with a huge hand. Porter was extremely disappointed as his {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} were no good. We are down to five players and Andrew Lichtenberger is now in second place behind Michael Mizrachi

Mizrachi On a Tear, Grabs Chip Lead

Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

We have only played seven hands at the final table, and so far Michael Mizrachi has won six of those. He just won the biggest pot of the day, the action went down as following.

Rep Porter raised from the button to 8,000, after which Brandon Cantu opted to three-bet to 25,000 from the small blind. Michael Mizrachi was in the big blind, and it didn't take long for him to make the call. Porter called as well giving us three-way action after the draw.

Cantu and Mizrachi both took one card, Porter stood pat.

Cantu checked to Mizrachi who fired out a big 60,000 chip bet. It took Porter only five seconds to make up his mind, and he called. Cantu gave it a little time but eventually decided to release his hand.

Mizrachi showed {9-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and Porter mucked his cards in disgust. Mizrachi has taken over the chip lead and looks to hammer his opponents hard from the start.

Ryan Tepen Eliminated in 7th Place ($10,318)

Ryan Tepen - 7th place
Ryan Tepen - 7th place

The second hand of this final table saw the elimination of Ryan Tepen. Michael Mizrachi raised to 7,000 from the cut-off and made a quick call when Tepen shoved from the big blind for around 50,000.

Tepen stood pat as Mizrachi broke the {j-Hearts} (it flipped over).

Tepen opened {q-}{10-}{8-}{5-}{3-}. You could see Mizrachi's heart sink as he opened {9-}{8-}{6-}{4-} meaning he already had a winning hand. This is Mizrachi though and he drew {j-Clubs} to lock the hand up.

Edit: Mizrachi won the next two hands as well for a small advance. A frantic start to this final table had seen Mizrachi involved in every hand so far.
