Emotional Chop For Forrest

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Ted Forrest
Ted Forrest

A short stacked player moved all in from middle position and it folded to Ted Forrest in the small blind. After some thinking Forrest moved all in over the top. Daniel Makowsky, who was sitting in the big blind, went into the tank before also announcing a call.

Short Stack: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Forrest: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Makowsky: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Forrest did a fist pump when he saw that he was ahead but quickly turned sour when the door card was the {8-Diamonds}, giving Makowsky a set. The dealer spread out the flop and the other two cards were the {7-Diamonds} and the {10-Diamonds}, also giving Forrest a set.

"Sorry, sorry," remarked Forrest to Makowsky when he learned that he was in fact in the lead.

The {J-Clubs} came on fourth street and Makowsky yelled for a nine to come, which would cause all three players to chop the pot. The dealer pounded the table and dealt the river:

The {9-Diamonds}.

"Come on!" exclaimed Forrest as each player reached to bring the chips in front of them back to their respective stacks. Through that river, Forrest was unlucky enough to be denied a big opportunity to add to his stack.
