Day 2 Begins With Soulier in the Lead

Of the 178 entrants in Event 32: $10,000 H.O.R.S.E., only 136 survived to make Day 2, which begins at 2 p.m. local time. Fabrice Soulier leads with 146,300 chips, and there are several players flirting with a 100K stack, including Abe Mosseri (99,900), Allen Bari (96,300), Brandon Stack-Harris (93,900), and Michael Binger (92,600). Soulier won this event last year, defeating Shawn Buchanan heads up for his first bracelet and over $600,000.

2012 WSOP bracelet winners John Monnette, Phil Hellmuth, Corey Zeidman, Ylon Schwartz, and Andy Bloch are still alive, and are all looking to become the first multiple-bracelet winner of the year. While Phil Ivey, whose made three final tables in the last ten days, is looking to capture his first of the year, and his ninth of his career.

The cards will be in the air in about a half hour, and the plan is to play ten levels - unless we reach final table beforehand. That's unlikely, however.

Get ready for some H.O.R.S.E. action, and keep it locked to PokerNews.com for your exclusive up-to-the-minute updates from this and every event at the 2012 WSOP!
