Stout Drags Huge Pot in Last Hand Before Dinner

We caught the action on a flop of {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} when Matt Stout check-raised his opponent's bet of 12,000 up to 35,000. A call ensued followed by a bet of 60,000 bet by Stout on the {2-Diamonds} turn. His opponent opted for a raise to 120,000, Stout moved all in, and another call was made.

Showdown
Stout: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The {6-Spades} river gave Stout the 460,000 pot, and he was pleasantly pleased with his pre-dinner appetizer.

Dentale Dethrones Three Kings

Michael Dentale
Michael Dentale

The player under the gun opened for 9,000 and cleared the field all the way to Michael Dentale on the button. He pushed back with a three-bet to 25,000, his opponent four-bet 58,500 and Dentale moved all in for 192,000. His opponent, who had him covered, made the call and it was what one might expect.

Showdown
Dentale: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop was harmless enough, but the {K-Hearts} spiked on the turn essentially kick Dentale out the door via a bad beat. Fortunately for him, which he expressed with a loud, "YES," the {J-Diamonds} hit on the river to give him a Broadway straight and the win, doubling him to a massive 394,500.

Teves Gets Lucky to Send Blais to the Rail

We arrived at the table during the aftermath of a big hand between Ryan Teves and Marc Etienne Blais. From what we pieced together, Teves raised only to have Blais shove all in. Teves called with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and was in bad shape against the {A-}{K-} of Blais.

Unfortunately for the man from Quebec, the flop came down {J-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs} and delivered Teves a jack. The {9-Clubs} turn was no help, and the {8-Diamonds} river sent Blais out the door while allowing Teves to chip up to 425K!

Stout Puts an End to Hamby

Jared Hamby
Jared Hamby

Matt Stout raised to 8,000 from middle position and cleared the field all the way to Jared Hamby in the big blind. The latter opted to move all in for 41,500 with {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and Stout called with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}.

Much to Hamby's dismay, the {7-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{K-Hearts} flop was gin for Stout. Neither the {A-Hearts} turn nor {9-Diamonds} river would help Hamby and he was eliminated from the tournament in 54th place, good for $6,918.

Poe Flips for Tournament Life

Bobby Poe got his last 66,000 all in preflop holding {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} and was racing against the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} of Ali Sarkeshik. Poe was looking for either an ace or king to stay alive, but he'd be left wanting as the board ran out {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

Sarkeshik's queens held and Poe was eliminated from the tournament in 58th place for $5,786.
