Silver Section: Negreanu Short, Nacho Angry; Lizano & Silver Leave

The Silver Section is very quiet at the moment, both in terms of action and noise. There are a lot of standout tables in the field but this one looks particularly interesting.

Table #40

Seat 1Nam Le
Seat 2Adam Coviensky
Seat 3Ben Lamb
Seat 4Tommy Vedes
Seat 5Manuel Bevand
Seat 6Roberto Romanello

Here is a hand from that table that went the way of Vedes.

We caught the action on a flop of {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}, Vedes checked, Bevand bet 900, Le folded and Vedes called. The turn card was the {3-Spades} and both players checked before we saw the {8-Clubs} on the river. Vedes bet 1,800 and after a long dwell, Bevand folded.

Elsewhere the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event final tablist, Max Silver, has been eliminated at the hands of Ryan Lenaghan. The money went in on a flop of {A-Diamonds} {J-Clubs} {5-Diamonds}. Silver held {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {4-Diamonds} for two-pair and Lenaghan held {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {5-Hearts} for the draws. The turn {10-Diamonds} completed a flush for the latter and the {2-Diamonds} river just confirming the exit of Silver.

The Spaniard Jesus Cortes Lizano has just busted as well. Lizano had a pair of kings and lost his stack to Jon West when an ace turned up on the flop. Another player who is slowly edging towards life-support is Daniel Negreanu. 13BB is not a lot when you are playing six-handed Pot-Limit Omaha, and that is what Kid Poker has in front of him right now.

Finally, when we left the Silver Section, Jose 'Nacho' Barbero, hads steam coming out of his ears and here is why. Karen Sarkisyan raised to 350 in the hijack seat, Christian Harder called in the cutoff and Barbero three-bet to 1,500 on the button. Sarkisyan four-bet to 5,350, Harder folded, Barbero moved all-in and Sarkisyan called the extra few thousand.

Sarkisyan{A-Hearts} {A-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}
Barbero{A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {7-Spades}

Board: {4-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {3-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {J-Spades}

Barbero slammed his chips into the table beneath the weight of his fist. He looked at Sarkisyan, then to his friend on the rail, and he was not happy at the outcome one little bit. Sarkisyan looked like he eats raw meat for fun and just gave Barbero a little tentative stare.
