Timoshenko Takes One Down

No Limit Hold'em

A player under-the-gun limped and action folded around to Yevgeniy Timoshenko in the hijack, who raised to 400. The player on the button called, as did the limper.

The flop brought {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and all three players checked. When the {4-Diamonds} fell on the turn, it was checked to Timoshenko who decided to fire 950 into the middle. The player on the button called, but the under-the-gun player opted to fold.

The {Q-Hearts} completed the board and Timoshenko cut out a bet to 1,400 and slid it into the middle. It was too much for Timoshenko's remaining opponent, who folded.

Timoshenko is still hovering around the starting stack of 7,500.

Don't Bluff the Donkey

John Robert Bellande
John Robert Bellande

No Limit Hold'em

While walking through the sections here we noticed Jean-Robert Bellande involved in a large pot. The board read {8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Bellande faced a bet of about 3,500 after his opponent on the button had gone all in. Bellande went into the tank for a few moments before announcing call.

The button player flipped over {A-Spades}{k-Hearts} for a very strong ace high. Bellande countered with {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, a pair of eights and the winning hand.

Bellande then gave the table a lesson in playing against him by saying "don't bluff a donkey".

Tough Table

Level 2

As we were walking through the tables, we noticed a lot of poker talent packed onto a single table.

Over in the tan section we have a table featuring Chad Brown, Ryan D'Angelo, Scott Montgomery and Barry Greenstein. Those four players alone have more than $15,000,000 in poker tournament winnings combined.

Hawrilenko Hit

Limit Hold'em

The board read {10-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts} which lead to a check from the big blind and an early position player, a bet from the middle position player, a raise from Matt Hawrilenko in late position, and a three bet from the big blind. The table then folded around to Hawrilenko and he completed. It was now heads up going to the turn.

The {7-Spades} on fourth street saw a bet from the big blind and a call from Hawrilenko. The river {6-Hearts} saw the same thing, a bet from the big blind and Hawrilenko begrudgingly calling.

The big blind flipped over {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and that was enough to take the pot.
