Here is how some of the largest stacks in the room look right now. Out of the approximately 333 players remaining, seemingly none come close to the stack of Alex Phahurat.
Approximately 351 players are about to take part in the final level of the night. Within 60-minutes time, the surviving players will be bagging their chips and returning tomorrow.
We just watched Scott Clements take down two pots in just as many minutes. This is how they wen't down.
The first one saw Clements and one opponent take to a flop. Clements checked and his opponent bet 2,100. Clements made a quick call and the turn was dealt. This time Clements led, throwing out a bet of 2,100. It was too much for his opponent as they folded.
The second hand saw Clements and one opponent both check on a flop. On the turn (), Clements' opponent led for 2,500 and Clements called. The river would see Clements' opponent check and then Clements shove all in, with his opponent having around 16,000 behind. It was enough to scare the player away and Clements took down another pot.
Alex Phahurat is currently sitting behind what is easily the largest stack in the room. He is also wearing a patch which says "Run Good" on it. We think the patch may have magical powers, but we can't be sure, we will have to wait until the end of the night to see.
Dan Smith is sitting behind a healthy stack, with some of those chips courtesy of a hand we just witnessed. When we arrived at the table there was a flop showing and one player was leading out for 4,100. Smith made the call while a couple of other players got out of the way and we took to a turn.
On the turn, both Smith and his opponent checked and a landed on the river. This time when Smith's opponent checked, Smith slid out a stack of around 10,000 in chips. His opponent quickly folded and Smith took down the handy pot.
