Gironda Rockets Upwards

Vincent Gironda just claimed a huge pot to surge up over the half-million chip mark and increase his lead. The hand began with three players — Ronnie Bardah, Terrence Chan, and Gironda — all contributing four bets before the flop, with original raiser Maria Ho stepping aside.

Heavy betting through the {6-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop and {7-Spades} turn left just Bardah and Gironda battling. Then when the {A-Clubs} fell on the river and Gironda led with a bet, Bardah looked to the ceiling in exasperation before making a crying call. Gironda tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}, and Bardah winced as he mucked, that river clearly appearing to have snatched the large pot away from him.
