Chad and Phillips Chop Epstein

Stud-8

Dale Phillips{x-}{x-} / {8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Clubs} / {x-}
Scott Epstein{x-}{x-} / {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} / {x-}
Lori Berumen{x-}{x-} / {6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades} / {x-}
Norman Chad{x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} / {x-}

When we reached the table, Epstein was all in, and the action was on seventh street. Chad bet, Phillips called, and Berumen tank-folded.

Norman Chad tabled {a-}{6-}{5-} for a seventy-six low, Phillips tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for two pair, and all Epstein had was two concealed jacks.

Epstein is eliminated, while Chad and Phillips have chipped above 100,000.

Mike Doubles Through Tam

Omaha-8

Lori Berumen was in early position when she opened up the pot with a raise. Mike Krescanko called on the button and so too did Tam Hang in the big blind.

The {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop would see Hang check, Berumen check and Krescanko bet on the button. Hang then check-raised and Berumen got out of the way. Krescanko then committed the rest of his chips and the two players turned their hands over.

Krescanko: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Hang: {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

The {5-Clubs} turn and the {j-Hearts} river would ensure Krescanko managed the double up.

Jacks Full for Kovalchuk

Omaha-8

Perry Friedman led out on a flop of {6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Oleksii Kovalchuk and Timothy Frazin called. The turn was the {j-Hearts}, and Friedman led out again. Kovalchuk raised, and Frazin released, and Friedman tank-called.

The river was the {3-Clubs}, and Friedman checked for the first time. Kovalchuk quickly bet, and Friedman tank-called. Kovalchuk tabled {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for jacks full of threes, and Friedman showed {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a king-high flush.

Kovalchuk raked in the pot, rocketing his stack above 100,000 chips.
