Grey's Boat Beats Fitoussi's Straight

No Limit Hold'em

The 2007 runner-up from this event, Bruno Fitoussi, just limped under the gun+1, and that was the beginning of a multi-way pot. Richard Ashby called in the hijack, David Grey from the cutoff and both blinds, Allen Cunningham and Barry Greenstein, also stayed in.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and it was checked all the way over to Grey who bet 4,000. Greenstein and Cunningham folded, after which Fitoussi made the call.

The turn brought out the {K-Spades} after Ashby had folded his cards, and the remaining two players checked. On the river the board paired with the {J-Diamonds} and Fitoussi bet 6,500. Grey made the call, and Fitoussi announced he had a straight. The Frenchman turned over {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, which he mucked when Grey tabled {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

Grey, who started out losing some chips is now back up to 142,000.
