Schwartz Folds to Monnette

Pot-Limit Omaha

Luke Schwartz was just put in a very tough spot against John Monnette on the final hand before their table broke. The flop read {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{5-Spades} and Schwartz bet 32,000. Monnette put out a big raise to 175,000 and Schwartz went into the tank.

While leaning back in his chair Schwartz thought about it for several minutes, and ended up offering Monnette $300 to see his hand. Schwartz later lowered that offer to $200, but when the floor came over he ruled against this.

"You cannot even give him money, a rose or even an orange," the floor said to Schwartz who finally had the clock called on him. Schwartz folded his cards and Monnette turned over his {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, for free. Schwartz said something along the lines that he had a similar hand, as Monnette added some more chips to his stack.
