Fourth Bustout: Stephen Mack

No Limit Hold'em

We are keeping a close eye on the players that bust out, and Stephen Mack was just the fourth player to lose all his chips.

Stephen Mack got his last 41,000 chips all in pre flop with {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} against John D'Agostino's {3-Hearts}{3-Spades}. The board ran out {Q-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, and D'Agostino's small pair held up.

We are down to 104 players.

Bakes Crushed By Lellouche

Pot-Limit Omaha

On the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop, Eric Rodawig checked and Antony Lellouche fired 9,500. Next to act was David "Bakes" Baker and he made the call. After that, Cary Katz folded and then Rodawig also gave it up, leaving two players to see fourth street.

The {8-Spades} landed on the turn and Lellouche bet 25,000. Baker took some time to think, then called.

On the river, the {K-Hearts} completed the board. Lellouche checked and Baker moved all of his chips into the middle. He actually had a little bit more than the pot, so he could only make it 84,200 with 4,600 behind. Lellouche then tanked. After two minutes or so, he just called.

"Set," announced Baker.

Lellouche responded by turning over the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a Broadway straight. Baker mucked and Lellouche won the pot. Luckily for Baker, though, Lellouche didn't put him all in, so he still had 4,600 in chips left to try and mount a comeback with.

"You knew one thing," said Huck Seed who recently joined the table. "He didn't have a royal flush."

Bakes Doubles Back

Pot-Limit Omaha

From under the gun plus one, David "Bakes" Baker raised to 4,000 with 600 behind. Action folded to Keith Gipson in the cutoff seat and he reraised to 11,000. Everyone folded back to Baker and he stuck his last 600 in.

Baker: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Gipson: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The flop, turn and river ran out {A-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{A-Clubs} and Baker finished with aces full of fives to beat Gipson's flush and double up. He moved up to 11,000 in chips.

Short-Stacked Baker Can't See Cheap Flop

Pot-Limit Omaha

On the next hand after he doubled up through Keith Gipson, David "Bakes" Baker limped in from under the gun. Eric Rodawig raised to 4,500 from middle position and then action folded to Ben Yu in the small blind. He reraised the pot and the dealer told him he could make it 16,900. Everyone folded and Yu won the pot.

Bakes Quadruples Up

Pot-Limit Omaha

Eric Rodawig raised to 3,200 from middle position and Keith Gipson called from the hijack seat. David Benyamine called in the cutoff seat and Ben Yu called from the button. In the big blind, David "Bakes" Baker raised all in for 11,700. Rodawig folded, but the three other player made the call.

The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Gipson checked. Benyamine bet 25,000 and Yu folded. Gipson also folded, leaving Baker heads up with Benyamine to stay alive.

Benyamine: {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}
Baker: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}

Baker was on the ropes with nothing on the flop against Benyamine's two pair and flush draw. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and river the {Q-Spades}. With the black lady on the river, Baker won the pot to quadruple up.

Not Buchanan's Day

Shawn Buchanan
Shawn Buchanan

2-7 Triple Draw

Shawn Buchanan has just been eliminated from the tournament. After chopping two pots in Stud-8 he was all in on the second hand of 2-7 Triple Draw.

Buchanan was under the gun when he raised it up to 4,800, and the action was folded to Lyle Berman, who was on the button. He three-bet, and it got back to Buchanan who called all in for just 5,600 total chips.

On the first draw Buchanan drew two cards, Berman needed one. Buchanan needed two more cards on the second draw, while Berman stood pat. On the final draw Buchanan sighed as he needed two cards once again.

Berman turned over {9-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and Buchanan was unable to beat that. He's the fifth player to hit the rail as we are down to 103 players in this event.
