The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event champion just got unlucky in a showdown that doubled up Joe Gualtieri. It was the of Heinz versus the of Gualtieri and it was a turned flush that did the trick on a board of .
Bobby Moore moved all in for 166,000 and found himself a caller in Jeremy Quehen. The rest of the table folded and as is the custom both players flipped over their cards.
Moore:
Quehen:
The flop came and Quehen got up to celebrate with his friends. The on the turn though brought new life to Moore, who could now steal the pot back with any queen or jack. The on the river was not the card Moore wanted to see and he was eliminated late here on day 2.
The ink is not yet dry on the Pius Heinz v Joe Gualtieri post and the German champion is out.
Larry Duplantis raised to 18,000, Pius Heinz moved all-in for 77,000 and the decision was back on Duplantis. There were a few verbals before Duplantis told Heinz he was here to gamble and turned over . Heinz showed for the slight lead, which would change on a board of . Heinz was out and the gambling Duplantis was up to 430,000.
In other news Adria Balaguer and Fernando Brito just played out a sick half a million pot. It all went in on a flop of with Balaguer holding and Brito holding . The turn and river placing the hand in the record books and Balaguer was stunned.
There has been relatively little action on the 5-tables in the past fifteen-minutes.
We did see Jason Wheeler move all-in from under the gun but he didn't get any takers. Then we saw Frank Rusnak open to 16,000 in the cutoff, Williams Rogers three-bet to 45,000 on the button and Scott Davies move all-in from the big blind for 243,000. Rusnak snap-folded but Rogers (who had left himself 120,000 behind) tanked for ages before folding.
Joey Weissman started the action off with limping under the gun. The next player to act was Ryan D'Angelo who moved all in for around 140,000. The table folded around back to Weissman who quickly made the call.
Weissman:
D'Angelo:
The board came and with that D'Angelo was eliminated.
