Day 3 Started
Paul Berende begins Day 3 of Event 48: $3,000 Limit Hold'em as the chip leader by a large margin, and is in the hunt for his first career WSOP final table appearance and bracelet. He leads the twenty-player field that will resume play at 2 p.m. local time, and he's closely followed by Kenny Hsiung (242,000), John Virtue (223,000), and Cary Marshall (195,500).
Chad Brown, Jonathan Duhamel, Vladimir Shchmelev, and Dwyte Pilgrim are still alive. Brown and Shchmelev both have runner-up finishes at the WSOP, Duhamel is of course the 2010 Main Event champion, and Pilgrim has multiple WSOP-C rings.
We will start on Level 18 today because we played a 24-hand bubble last night, and rather than play an extra two hours, the tournament staff sent the players home. The cards will be in the air shortly, so keep it locked to PokerNews for all of your up-to-the-minute updates.
