Hellmuth Eliminated Three Off the Money

Phil Hellmuth exited politely.
Phil Hellmuth exited politely.

We found Phil Hellmuth betting 1,000 of his 2,100 stack on a flop of {K-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}. "Go ahead buddy put me in, double me up," Hellmuth said to Frank Baris- who was mulling his decision.

Baris did just that and then Men "The Master" Nguyen called behind him. Hellmuth tossed in the rest of chips and the other two players had a side pot.

The turn came {3-Spades} and both players checked. The river came {8-Hearts}, Baris bet and Nguyen folded. Baris tabled {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts} for a flush and Hellmuth stood up and reluctantly showed {K-Spades} {4-Spades}.

He told Baris "Good game and good luck," shook hands with all the players and exited the Brasilia Room on good terms with his tablemates - not an usual Hellmuthian exit.
