Schwartz Moving Up

The flop read {K-Spades}{A-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Justin Schwartz bet out around 1,400. His opponent in later position raised to about 5,200. Schwartz made the call and was allowed to see the turn.

The {9-Hearts} on fourth street saw two checks, one from Schwartz and the other from his opponent. Once Schwartz's opponent checked Schwartz bet 1,000 in the dark.

The {4-Diamonds} landed on the river and Schwartz's opponent made the call, only to be shown {a-Spades}{3-Clubs} which was seemingly good enough as the later position player mucked his cards.

Schwartz now sits near the top of the leader board with around 160,000 in chips.

Stringer Triples; Petersen and Chamani Out

We found Andrew Stringer move all in for 29,600 only to have Ronit Chamani move all in over the top. Mickey Petersen also moved his stack in the middle and just like that the three hands were turned over with Petersen and Stringer's lives at stake.

Stringer: {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Chamani: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Petersen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The flop struck gold for Stringer when he turned the worst hand into the best when it came {J-Spades}{2-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. The {9-Diamonds} came on fourth and the {10-Diamonds} on fifth, giving Stringer a triple up.

Petersen was sent to the rail and Chamani was crippled to about 2,000. She busted from the tournament on the next hand.

Weisner Takes One Down

Melanie Weisner
Melanie Weisner

In a limped family pot, a flop of {3-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} was spread. Action checked around to Mandy Baker who bet out 3,500. It folded back around to Weisner and she tossed in a call. A third player opted to tag along and the three saw the board pair on the turn when the {3-Diamonds} fell.

Weisner and the third player rapped the table and Baker fired out another bullet, this time making it 7,000. Weisner quickly called and the other player got out of the way. The {K-Spades} completed the board and they both checked. Weisner showed {K-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a flopped flush draw that turned into top pair on the river. Baker mucked her hand and Weisner took down the pot.

Ramge's Rampage

Grayson Ramage was first to act and he limped. The next player did the same and Jeff Madsen then min raised to 200. Three other players came along and action was on the button. The button then raised to 3,500 and Ramage came out of the woodwork with a four-bet to 9,500. The table folded back around to the button who took his time before ultimately throwing his cards away.

Ramage picked up the pot and was able to recover from a hand he lost a few minutes ago where he had {7-}{7-} against his opponent's {10-}{6-} all in preflop and lost.

O'Brien O'ut

We found Dan O'Brien all in holding {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} against his opponent's {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} before the flop.

The flop paired O'Brien's top card, coming {7-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, but gave his opponent a flush draw. The {10-Hearts} turned and O'Brien was one card away from doubling up. However, the {6-Clubs} rolled off on the river, completing his opponent's flush and O'Brien was forced to make his way to the rail.
