Chiang Can't Make the Call

Action started with Brant Hale, who raised it up to 8,500 in early position. Action folded around to Jen-Yue Chiang on the button, and he made the call on the button. The blinds got out of the way, and the dealer laid down a flop of {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. Hale checked to Chiang, who fired out a bet of 11,500. Hale tanked for about a minute before moving all in for 39,500 on top, and Chiang folded after 30 seconds of thinking. Hale jumped up to 85,000 after the hand, while Chiang drops down to 110,000.

Final 27 Re-Drawing

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

This event has gone by extremely fast so far. We reached the money in day 1, and we are on pace to make the final table tonight. However, we were at 28 players for over half an hour, before finally losing a player in 28th. The remaining players are redrawing for the final three tables, and we will get a seating chart, as well as updated chip count, up in just a few minutes.

Le Doubles

After losing a large portion of his stack, Nam Le is back in contention.

Action began with a player in early position, who opened to 6,500. Action folded around Nam Le in the small blind, who re-raised to 17,500. John Juanda folded from the big blind and Le's opponent announced, "pot," which was enough to put Le all in. Le mulled it over and called off his remaining 35,000.

Le: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Le doubled up and then some with two-pair. Le is now back up to 95,000.

Eames Rakes In Monster Pot

Jon Eames
Jon Eames

Action folded to John Eames in the cutoff, and he raised it up to 6,000. It got around to Bryan Pellegrino in the small blind, and he three bet to 15,000. Eames made the call, and they went heads up to a flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Pellegrino led out for 15,000, and Eames took just a few moments before calling.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs}, and again Pellegrino led out, this time for 36,500. Eames tanked for about 90 seconds before throwing in the call, and the dealer peeled the {10-Spades} off on the river. For the third time in a row, Pellegrino led out, this time for 55,000. Again, Eames went into the tank, as this bet represented more then half of his remaining stack. He eventually called, and said, "I have a set," tabling {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} Pellegrino grimaced and let out a sigh, showing {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} that he surely thought was good.

After the hand, Eames rockets all the way up over 300,000, while Pellegrino drops to under 150,000.

Eames Knocks Off a Short Stack

Action folded to John Eames in late position, and he min-raised to 6,000. It folded to the big blind, who put out a pot sized raise of 16,500, leaving himself less then 10,000 behind. Eames tanked for about 30 seconds before going all in, and his opponent made the call.

Eames: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

Eames and his opponent were off to the races, with Eames needing to catch a pair to win, and he did just that on the {4-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop. His opponent was drawing thin, and he couldn't catch up, as the turn and river both brought eights. Eames collected the bounty, and he has now joined the 200k club.
