Heinecker vs. Nishijima

Thiago Nishijima
Thiago Nishijima

With around 25,000 in the pot and a board reading {6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{J-Hearts}, Thiago "XTheDecanoX" Nishijima checked to Sven Niklas "ragen70" Heinecker, who fired out 12,000. Nishijima thought for a brief moment before announcing he was all in for around 100,000, and Heinecker snap-folded.

Despite losing that hand, the man known as "ragen70" online is still up from the last time we checked in with him, apparently the beneficiary of a much-needed double.

Duhamel Drags a Big One

Jonathan Duhamel
Jonathan Duhamel

We caught up with the action on a {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} flop, where Jonathan Duhamel was in a heads-up pot against Steve Gross.

Duhamel bet 6,500 from middle position and Gross called on the button.

Both players checked the {8-Clubs} turn, however, when the {A-Clubs} landed on the river, Duhamel led out for 13,800. Gross pondered for a bit and slid out a calling stack. Duhamel flipped over {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a rivered straight and Gross mucked.

Duhamel is now sitting on 95,000.

Vayo Eliminates Hunichen

With Chris Hunichen on the button and Gordon Vayo in the small blind, it appeared a raising war broke out between the two that resulted in the former being all in for around 46,000.

Showdown
Vayo: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Hunichen: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}

Vayo was ahead, but Hunichen held live cards. The {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop gave Hunichen some straight outs to a jack, but it was the {8-Clubs} turn that gave him the lead. Unfortunately for him, his newfound enthusiasm would be short lived as the {K-Diamonds} spiked on the river to give Vayo back the lead and the elimination.

Duhamel Loses Some More

Folded to Jonathan Duhamel in the small blind, he simply made the call. Rocky Rule then checked out of the big blind and a {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Spades} flop was dealt. Duhamel took his time to lead for 3,300 and Rule made the call.

On the{k-Clubs} turn, Duhamel again led, this time for 7,200. Rule then quickly shoved all in, which was too strong for Duhamel as he sent his cards into the muck and the chips away from his stack.

Garcia Eliminates Both Glazier and Heinz

We noticed both Pius Heinz and Jackie Glazier get up from their seats and rushed over to find out what had happened. According to the table, a short-stacked Pius Heinz open-pushed all in with {A-}{J-} and action folded around to Andres Garcia in the cutoff, who re-raised with {A-}{Q-}. It was then folded around to Jackie Glazier in the big blind, who called all in for her last three big blinds with {8-}{2-}.

The board came with an ace and Garcia knocked both Heinz and Glazier out with his pair of aces and queen kicker.

Duhamel vs. "The Thrill"

Will Failla
Will Failla

Will "The Thrill" Failla opened for 3,500 from early position and was met with a three-bet to 8,400 by Jonathan Duhamel in the hijack. The rest of the field got out of the way, Failla called the additional 4,900, and it was heads-up to the {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop.

Failla ended up check-calling a bet of 8,200 before leading out for 7,000 on the {8-Clubs} turn. Duhamel thought for a moment before tossing his cards to the muck.

"I had the flop and the turn," Failla said. "Ace-king."

"Nuts?" Duhamel asked and received a positive response. "I had queens."

Glazier Hurting

Jackie Glazier was under the gun plus one when she shoved her stack of a little more than 25,000 into the middle. The play was then folded around to Kenneth Elnlger on the button and he thought long and hard before making the call (Glazier had Elnlger covered). With the blinds out of the way, the two players turned their hands over.

Elnlger: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Glazier: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}

Up until the turn, the {3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} board was great for Glazier, but the {a-Spades} on the river would leave her crippled with under 10,000 in chips, while Elnlger doubled up.
