Israelashvili Doubles

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Roland Israelashvili was all in when we reached the table, and the players had just drawn for the second time. Tom Chambers bet out, and Chris Tryba was forced to fold.

On the last draw, Israelashvili stood pat, and Chambers drew one. Israelashvili turned over {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}, and Chambers showed {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

"I paired my four," Chambers announced after sweating his card.

He indeed tabled a {4-}, and Israelashvili was shipped the pot.

Monopoly Money

Level 7

Over at Table 397, Viliyan Petleshkov is was trying to entice Sorel Mizzi to play a game of Monopoly on his iPad. Mizzi refused, saying that Monopoly is, "too much of a sweat."

"Write this," Eli Elezra piped up. "Sorel Mizzi wants there to be a Monopoly bracelet event next year. $10,000 buy-in. They just need to supply us all with iPads."

Unfortunately, we think there's a better chance that the WSOP hosts a Go Fish bracelet event next year before they have a Monopoly event.

Volpe Makes Correct Call

No-Limit Hold'em

Four players saw a flop of {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Hearts}, including Paul Volpe, John Monnette, Travis Pearson, and Allen Chang. The action checked to Volpe, who bet, Monnette released on the button, Pearson called out of the small blind, and Chang gave it up.

Both players checked after the {j-Spades} turned, and the {q-Clubs} completed the board. Pearson quickly led for 2,100. Volpe briefly tanked.

"Twenty-six?" he asked the dealer.

"Twenty-one," the dealer responded.

Volpe made the call, and Pearson tabled {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a busted straight draw. Volpe showed {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair, and raked in the pot.

Ashby Busts Chiu

Pot-Limit Omaha

Richard Ashby min-raised from under the gun, and the action folded to David Chiu, who potted to 1,125 on the button. The blinds released, and Ashby called.

"Four-twenty-five," Chiu announced before the flop, letting Ashby know how much he had behind.

The dealer fanned {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Clubs}, and Ashby committed the chips, Chiu called.

Ashby{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Chiu{k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The turn and river with both jacks, counterfeiting Chiu, and eliminating him from the tournament.
