Rutter Runs into Quads

Adam Friedman{x-}{x-} / {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Spades} (FOLDED)
Opponent{x-}{x-} / {3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} / {x-}
Joe Tehan{x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades} / {x-}
Stuart Rutter{x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} / {x-}

An opponent brought it in, Tehan called, and Rutter completed. Friedman called, the opponent called, and so did Tehan. All four players checked on fourth street.

Rutter led out on fifth street, Friedman mucked, and both the opponent and Tehan called. The opponent made a pair of tens on sixth, but still checked, Tehan checked as well, and Rutter bet. Only the opponent called.

On seventh, the player led for the first time, and Rutter called, turning over a second ace. The player turned over two tens for quads, and won the pot.

Crain Confused, but Wins

Level 1

NL 2-7 Single Draw

We arrived at the table after the draw, and Jesse Martin and Eric Crain were heads up. Martin led out for 700, and Crain went into the tank. He hummed and hawed, but eventually made the call.

Martin fanned {9-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for a ninety-seven, and Crain showed {8-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} an eighty-seven. Crain almost mucked however, picking up his hand to toss it in, when he realized he had the best hand.

Crain shook his head, and raked in the pot.

Lindgren Wins With Just Sixes

Level 1

Omaha-8

Erick Lindgren and an opponent were heads up with the board reading {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Lindgren check-raised his opponent, who called, and the turn was the {k-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The {q-Spades} completed the board, and both players checked again.

"Sixes," Lindgren announced, tabling {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

His opponent mucked, and Lindgren scooped the pot.

Unregistering

Level 1

Jason Mercier was floating around the Orange Section of the Amazon Room moments ago, and it looked like he was collecting from some of his investors for the $1 Million Big One for One Drop.

"Are you playing today?" Pat Pezzin asked Mercier.

"No," Mercier responded. "I registered yesterday then realized I couldn't play. I'd probably make Day 3 and win like $33,000 though."

The nearby tables all broke into laughter, and Mercier was off to collect more chips and money.
