Day 4 Started

Welcome Back to Day 4 Where a Winner WIll Be Crowned

Luis Campelo and Will Jaffe duke it out
Luis Campelo and Will Jaffe duke it out

Will Jaffe and Luis Campelo managed to get down to heads up play after 8 levels of play last night. They played one on one for two levels with neither player making a dent in the other's stack. After the tenth level of the night play stopped and both players were sent home for some rest. Today the match starts up again.

Jaffe has been unbelievable steady through out the whole tournament playing big pots and rarely being at risk. Campelo has done much the same playing tight and aggressive for the entirety of the tournament. The crowd has been the most exciting thing of heads up play so far, with the Campelo's Brazilian crowd literally making waves every time Campelo took down a pot. Jaffe's crowd was pretty excitable last night as well with a handful of chants of their own.

Today will be a loud day in the Amazon room. Its clear that both players want this so bad, with neither one of them taking big risks and playing small pot after small pot. Today a winner will be crowned though, and that person will walk away with $500,075.

Stay tuned here at Pokernews for all your heads up updates.

Another Million For Jaffe

Will Jaffe is playing it fast so far, and he takes down the majority of the pots. We just saw he shove after Luis Campelo had raised it up to 325,000, but the Brazilian couldn't make the call.

Jaffe has a commanding lead, and Campelo is down to 15 big blinds.

Miracle On The River Keeps Campelo Alive

Luis Campelo reacts to doubling up

It was so close to being over. Will Jaffe was just one card away from winning his first World Series of Poker bracelet, but Luis Campelo pulled off a miracle on the river.

Will Jaffe raised to 320,000 from the small blind, and Luis Campelo moved all in for 2,750,000. Jaffe called right away.

Will Jaffe{A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Luis Campelo{K-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

The flop brought out {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Jaffe took a commanding lead. Campelo needed to catch a king or a deuce, but the turn was the {Q-Spades} taking away some of his outs. The Brazilian needed one of the two remaining deuces in the deck, and the Amazon Room exploded when the river brought out the {2-Clubs}.

"Vamos Luis!!" a group of around 20 Brazilians shouted from the rail cheering their friend on. The chanting and cheering continues as Campelo has taken the chip lead.

Campelo Doesn't Pull The Trigger

Will Jaffe raised to 320,000 and Luis Campelo three-bet to 820,000. Jaffe gave it some thought and moved all in for just 2,150,000. Campelo tanked for about 45 seconds, but he decided to let it go.

Jaffe has another chance at winning this thing, but he's still trailing Campelo who has a commanding chip lead.
