Play is moving along pretty quickly for it being the first 5 minutes of the day. Walking around the tournament area you can't avoid hearing someone say "pay out!". The short stacks are moving in, trying to grab hold of something substantial or hit the rail early and do something else with their day.
Over at table #359 one of those short stacks, Jonathan Ko moved all in for around 4,600. Liya Gerasimova called from the cut-off and Dutch Boyd did the same from the big blind.
The dealer spread a flop of and Ko exploded in glee. Obviously very excited he started talking about his hand, basically saying he won. The table told him to be quiet as there were other people involved in the hand, and he mildly suppressed his excitement.
Boyd bet out 5,000 and Gerasimova made the call. The fell on the turn and both players took the opportunity to check.
After the hit the river both players repeated their actions with checks and cards were exposed. Ko flipped over for a set of tens. Boyd flipped over for a pair of aces, which was apparently enough to take the small side pot, as Gerasimova mucked her cards.

The air is struggling to contain all of the, "all-in and call's," spewed forth from the mouths of the dealers. The day really has started with a slugfest of shoves, re-shoves and calls. Here are two eliminations for you.
Dara Davey raised all-in for 14,600 total and Joao Simao also moved all-in to his immediate left. Nobody else joined the fray and it was Simao and his versus Davey and his . The board ran out and Davey was out.
Then we saw an all-in between Uri Reichenstein and Samuel McGrath. McGrath was the person at risk of elimination, but he was in great shape.

While writing up a post Allen Kessler was nice enough to stop by the PokerNews desk and inform us of a recent double up he had.
Apparently Kessler was able to get into a pot with four other players holding . The flop came and Kessler managed to get in against an opponent who held .
Kessler managed to hold on and now sits with around 60,000 in chips. This is Kessler's 17th cash since 2010, and looks to take down poker glory today.

We just witnessed a 150,000 pot between Andreas Heissenberger and Kyle Fleishman. We caught the action with Fleishman having moved all-in as a four-bet and Heissenberger pondering the 75,000 question that had been posed to him. In the end Heissenberger was struck by some inspiration and said, "I think you're bluffing…I call."
Fleishman - who wasn't bluffing - turned over and Heissenberger turned over . The board ran out and Fleishman had pumped his stack up to 150,000. Heissenberg was down to 32,000.
