Carter Phillips raised under the gun and Eddy Sabat called in the big blind. The flop came down and Sabat check-called 38,000.

Sabat is now one of the short stacks while Philips is second in chips.
Layne Flack raised to 31,000 from the small blind and Daniel Sindelar moved all in from the big blind. This move put Flack to the test for his remaining 218,000 chips, and he made the call.
Nick Maimone opened to 27,000 from the cutoff, Carter Phillips, three-bet to 83,000 from the small blind, and Maimone called.
The flop fell , and both players checked. The turn brought the , Phillips led for 86,000, and Maimone raised to 200,000. Phillips was forced to released, and Maimone took down the pot.
From the cutoff Eugene Katchalov decided to move all in for 170,000. Shannon Shorr was in the big blind, and he made the call.

The board ran out , and Katchalov was granted another chance in this event. This is Katchalov's fourth deep run in this year's World Series of Poker, but so far he just missed out on the final table. This could be the one, because with 22 players left he's still in the hunt.
