Quads for Lehr

Keith Lehr opened to 25,000 from under the gun, Nick Maimone called in the cutoff, and the button and blinds released. The dealer fanned {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}, and Lehr led for 50,000. Maimone raised, Lehr moved all in for 296,000, and Maimone called.

The {7-Clubs} on the turn gave Lehr quads, and an unbeatable hand. The {2-Hearts} completed the board, and Lehr was shipped the double up.

Katchalov Doubles Through Shorr

From the cutoff Eugene Katchalov decided to move all in for 170,000. Shannon Shorr was in the big blind, and he made the call.

Eugene Katchalov{A-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Shannon Shorr{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{A-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, and Katchalov was granted another chance in this event. This is Katchalov's fourth deep run in this year's World Series of Poker, but so far he just missed out on the final table. This could be the one, because with 22 players left he's still in the hunt.

Aussie! Aussie! Aussie!

Tony Hachem open-shoved his last 299,000 from the cutoff, Roberto Romanello re-shoved from the button, and the blinds released.

Hachem{a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Romanello{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Hachem stood up as the flop fell {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

"Come on," he chanted silently. "Come on."

The {8-Spades} on the turn was another brick, and Hachem remained on his feet. The dealer rapped the table one last time, and spiked the {j-Diamonds} on the river.

"Yes," Hachem said quietly.

Hachem doubled to 610,000, while Romanello sunk to 335,000.
