Welcome to Day 3 of PokerNews' coverage of World Series of Poker Event 57, the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed. A field of 474 is down to just 27 hopefuls, each looking to capture the seven-figure first-place score of $1,136,197, as well as the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.

An elite field of players remain and leading the way with 1,467,000 is Christopher Brammer. One of the best online-tournament players in the world, Brammer is looking to score his biggest live cash to date. With four five-figure scores this year already, Brammer is looking to make his first WSOP cash of the summer into one he'll never forget.

He has some tough competition, though, as Stanislav Barshak (1,024,000), Nick Maimone (1,003,000), and two-time bracelet winner Carter Phillips (928,000) are hot on his heels. Six-time bracelet winner Layne Flack and two-time bracelet winner Jason Mercier are also among the many big names still in the hunt.

On a {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop Nick Maimone check-called a 30,000-chip bet. The turn was the {10-Spades} and Maimone checked once more. Kyle Julius bet 54,000 and Maimone put him all in. Julius called off for a total of 296,000.

Andrew Lichtenberger raised to 26,000 under the gun, and the action was folded to Justin Conley. Conley moved all in from the small blind, and Lichtenberger counted his stack before making the call.

Shannon Shorr started the day with one of the smaller stacks, but he just put himself in a great spot after doubling through Frederik Jensen.

Jensen raised from the button to 25,000, Shorr three-bet from the big blind and Jensen put him all in. Shorr called for a total of 342,000 creating the following showdown.

Shorr tabled {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}, and he was out in front against Jensen's {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {3-Spades}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}, and Shorr jumped into the top ten.
