Biography

Kyle Julius is an American professional poker player from Naperville, Illinois. Julius is best known for his runner-up finishes in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2012 World Series of poker for which he collected almost $600,000, and at the 2012 EPT PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event for $1.5 million.

Intro

Kyle Julius was born in 1987 in Naperville, Illinois. During his high school years Julius stood out as a talented basketball player and was even recruited by the Illinois Central College to play for their team. Julius started playing poker at the age of 18 after he learned the game from his older brother Ryan. Kyle picked up the game pretty quick and started grinding at the online tables. Soon enough he was able to build a bankroll of $100,000. The winnings continued to roll in and in the first three years of playing online Julius managed to make $2.4 million. He eventually decided to quit college and pursue a career in poker.

World Series of Poker

Julius first appeared at the World Series of poker in the summer of 2010. He cashed in two events in his first WSOP for a total of $32,000 in winnings. Then two years later Julius increased his record to eight money finishes including the 14th place finish in the WSOP Europe Main Event. His best result was the second place finish in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for which Julius collected almost $600,000 in cash.
