Hold Me Closer Tiny Danzer

Jason Mercier raised to 4,800 after action folded to him in the cutoff. George Danzer three-bet to 13,000 and Lyle Berman moved all in for 29,000 total from the small blind. Action folded back around to Mercier who also folded and Danzer quickly called.

Berman drew one and Danzer tabled {8-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-}. Berman looked at Danzer's hand and flung his hand into the muck before even saw his drawn cards. With this boost Danzer's stack is currently at about 170,000.

Juanda-Man

We caught up with the two players post-draw to see a big pot developing. With over 32,000 in the pot John Juanda moved 32,500 into the middle.

Vincent van der Fluit was pondering a call and looked quite distraught about the bet. Eventually van der Fluit called and Juanda tabled {8x]{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}.

"Yeaaahhhh..." said van der Fluit as he threw away his hand. "I had a good hand. Like if you would have bet fifteen I would have raised."

Regardless of van der Fluit's hand, Juanda was able to grab the pot and boost his stack to 155,000.

He drew {6-}{4-}, pairing his four, and Berman was dealt {5-}{3-} for a seventy-six, doubling him to around 35,000 chips.

Mercier Finishes Off Anderson

Calvin Anderson Pairs His Nine
Calvin Anderson Pairs His Nine

Calvin Anderson opened to 5,000 and left himself with only 400 chips behind. Jason Mercier three-bet from the next seat over and the rest of the table folded back to Anderson who called all in.

Anderson took two cards and Mercier responded by staying pat and fanning {10-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}.

Anderson showed {9-}{4-}{2-} meaning that he was drawing live but needed help. He stood up and put his backpack on and flipped over one of his cards. It was the {7-Clubs}. Anderson then put a knee on his chair and began to squeeze his second card. The entire table broke out into laughter as the fourth card gave him a squeeze for his tournament life.

Anderson dejectedly flipped up the {9-Clubs}, pairing his nine and eliminating him from the tournament.

Barlow Doubles

Daniel Negreanu opened to 8,000 from under the gun, and the action folded to Lyle Berman, who called out of the small blind. Todd Barlow was next to act, and he tanked for nearly a minute before moving all in for 39,800. Negreanu quickly folded, and Berman thought for a bit, then called.

Berman tossed away one card, and Barlow knuckled the table, signifying that he was standing pat.

"Turn 'em over," Negreanu said eagerly, wanted to see what hands raised him out of the pot.

Barlow spread, {10-}{9-}{8-}{4-}{3-}, and Berman showed {9-}{7-}{6-}{2-}.

"I'm allowed to squeeze my card, right?" Berman asked.

The dealer nodded "yes," and Berman grabbed his down card. He shook his head when he saw what it was however, and mucked it face down. The dealer turned over the {7-Clubs} when it flew forward, showing that Berman paired, and Barlow raked in the pot.
