Karr Folds Nut Spade Draw

We missed the preflop action, but we saw that McLean Karr and Juan Manuel Pastor were in a battle of the blinds on a flop of {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Spades}. There was about 4,500 in the middle, and Pastor checked to Karr, who fired 1,750. Pastor responded by moving all in about 45,000. This was a massive overbet to the pot, and send Karr deep into the tank.

"Sorry guys this is a big bet I'm going to need a minute." Karr was clearly confused by the bet, and asked Pastor why he bet so much. Eventually, he said that he had nut spades, saying he held {a-Spades}{7-Spades}. He said he thought Pastor might have {5-Spades}{4-Spades}, and wondered if he should gamble. "It's the main event I need to get a big stack. Might be worth it to gamble." Eventually, after about three minutes of thinking, Karr folded his hand.

Pastor elected to flash the {9-Spades}, and folded the other card face down. After that pot, Pastor is up to 54,000, while Karr drops to 52,000.
