Balkin Doubles

David Balkin was just all in for about 1 million and at risk with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} versus Filippi's {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. "Do your job, dealer," said the Australian as he stood from the table, hoping to see a king, queen, or some other community cards that would improve his hand.

The flop satisfied Balkin's request, coming {5-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to pair his queen, and he clapped his hands. "Come on, hold," he said. The turn was the {10-Clubs} and river the {6-Diamonds}, and Balkin survives.

Grandmougin Doubles Through Khoury

Ladouceur Takes Some From Baumann

Gaelle Baumann raised to 80,000 from under the gun and received a call from Marc Ladouceur in the big blind. The dealer produced a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Ladouceur led out for 95,000. Baumann quickly tossed in a call and the {10-Hearts} turned.

Ladouceur continued with his aggression, making it 215,000. Baumann called once again, and the river was the {8-Clubs}. Ladouceur fired a third barrel and Baumann went into the tank for about three minutes before calling. Ladouceur showed {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a straight and Baumann mucked her hand. This pot brings Ladouceur's stack up to about 2,600,000.

Value For Malherbe

Jean Malherbe raised to 80,000 from the button, and Andrew Dean defended his big blind.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}, and Dean check-callde 75,000.

On the turn the {6-Diamonds} hit, and Dean checked once more. Malherbe counted out another bet, and fired 220,000. Dean took his time, and called.

The river was the {J-Hearts}, and once again Dean checked. Malherbe grabbed chips immediately, and he announced a 440,000-chip bet.

Dean didn't seem happy, but after a good minute he called. Malherbe turned over {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and Dean replied with, "Must be nice," as he mucked his cards.

Ausmus Chips Up Through Keranen

We found Jeremy Ausmus betting the flop of {7-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and Kyle Keranen raised. Ausmus called to see the {6-Clubs} turn. Both players checked to the {2-Hearts} river. Ausmus checked, Keranen bet 1,150,000 and Ausmus called.

Keranen tabled {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} and Ausmus tabled the winner with {A-} {J-}.
