Hand #113: Ausmus Takes One from Merson

Level 36 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Jake Balsiger had the button. Action folded to Jeremy Ausmus in the small blind, and he raised to 1.25 million. Greg Merson called in the big blind, and the dealer ran out the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop.

On the flop, Ausmus fired 1.3 million, and Merson made the call to see the {6-Spades} land on the turn. Ausmus fired 2.7 million. Merson folded, and Ausmus won the pot.

Russell Thomas started the hand with the button. He opened to one million, and Jeremy Ausmus defended his big blind. The dealer fanned {7-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Clubs}, Ausmus checked, and Thomas continued for 1.1 million. Ausmus released, and Thomas took down the pot.

Hand #110: Merson vs. Sylvia

Level 36 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante

Jesse Sylvia had the button, and there was a dead small blind. Greg Merson opened to one million from the cutoff seat, Sylvia three-bet to 2.6 million, the blinds released, and Merson called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, and both players checked. The turn was a third king - the {k-Clubs} - and Sylvia checked again. Merson fired 2.5 million, and Sylvia called.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board, and both players checked again. Merson tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for nut-no-boat, and won the pot.

Andras Koroknai Eliminated in 6th Place ($1,640,902)

Level 36 : 250,000/500,000, 50,000 ante
Andras Koroknai is eliminated in 6th place.
Andras Koroknai is eliminated in 6th place.

Hand #109:

Greg Merson had the button. Action folded to him, and he raised to one million. Jesse Sylvia reraised from the small blind to 2.6 million. In the big blind, Andras Koroknai reraised and made it 5.3 million to go. Merson didn't go anywhere. He reraised to 9.2 million. That folded out Sylvia, then Koroknai moved all in. Merson quickly called, creating a massive, massive pot.

Koroknai turned over the {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}, but he was very much dominated by the {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for Merson.

On the flop, the {8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} landed, and Merson stayed in front. The turn was the {7-Spades} taking away the queen of spades as an out for Koroknai. The dealer burned one last time, and then dealt the {7-Hearts} on the river.

Merson's cheering section erupted in joy as Merson stormed his way to over 80 million in chips. Koroknai was eliminated in sixth place and took home $1,640,902.
