This isn't David Williams' first go-round in a Seven Card Stud tournament. In fact, the World Series of Poker gold bracelet that Williams won back in 2006 came from the $1,500 Seven Card Stud event in which he took home $163,118 for besting a field of 478 players. The way it looks right now, Williams may just run straight away with this thing if he keeps on this pace. No one has really been able to slow him down as Williams keeps trudging along.

Nicholas Verkaik's run has ended here in 15th place. He had been nursing a short stack for much of the later part of today and finally went out after losing a pot to Joseph Ranciato.
Ranciato made aces and eights in the hand that eliminated Verkaik. Verkaik has sevens in the hole that could only improve to a second-best two pair of kings and sevens.
For his finish, Verkaik earned $4,637.
