Richey Gone; 24 Remain

With the elimination of Brett Richey at the hands of Timothy Finne in 25th place, just 24 players remain. The field is now racking up and moving over to the Blue Section of the Amazon Room where a redraw will be completed and play will resume in a few minutes.

Tryba Can't Get There

Chris Tryba just lost a good amount of chips to Steve Billirakis, who is now flirting with the chip lead.

Tryba: (x)(x) / {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} / (x)
Billirakis: (x)(x) / {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} / (x)

Billirakis was leading he betting on all streets with Tryba calling down. On the final street, Billirakis fired one last bet, but Tryba couldn't make the call and folded his hand.

Tryba was knocked all the way down to about 42,000 while Billirakis climbed to 120,000.

Lunkin Eliminated by Soulier

Vitaly Lunkin
Vitaly Lunkin

Vitaly Lunkin was just eliminated by Fabrice Soulier. Lunkin held a pair of queens, but one pair couldn't beat the two pair of Soulier as he held tens and threes to win the pot. Lunkin headed to the payout desk while Soulier moved to 122,000 in chips.

Vinh's Two Pair Bests Baxter

Huu Vinh was one of the big stacks coming into the day and just took a pot off Mike Baxter to move to 95,000 in chips. Marco Traniello was also involved in the hand, but folded on sixth street.

Baxter: (x)(x) / {4-Spades}{10-Spades}{A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} / (x)
Vinh: (x)(x) / {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{K-Hearts} / (x)
Traniello: (x)(x) / {9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Hearts} / (x)

Baxter had to bring it in and did so before Vinh completed. Traniello called and then Baxter also called. On fourth street, Baxter checked the best hand showing and Vinh bet. Traniello called and Baxter called.

On fifth street, all three players checked. Then on sixth, Baxter bet, Vinh raised, Traniello folded and Baxter called.

On seventh street — the final street — Baxter check-called a bet from Vinh.

Baxter mucked when he saw Vinh turn over {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{x-} for king and eights and lost the pot.
