How'd Tryba Get Those Chips?

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Chris Tryba has been on a tear lately. He just had rolled up eights versus the full house of Kevin McGuinness to move to nearly 100,000 in chips. He also eliminated Craig Neilan on the hand.

McGuinness: (x)(x) / {Q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} / (x)
Tryba: (x)(x) / {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} / (x)
Neilan: (x)(x) / {J-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} / (x)

McGuinness was betting the entire way and Tryba was just calling while Neilan got the last of his money in on fourth street. On sixth street, Tryba decided to put a raise in and McGuinness made the call. McGuinness and Tryba then got into a raising way on seventh street, but when it was over, Tryba was the one with the last laugh.

Tryba had started with rolled up eights and went on to make quads when he turned up the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}. McGuinness showed two queens from his down cards to reveal he made queens full of sixes, but that was no good. Neilan simply mucked and headed to the rail.

Tryba, who began the day with 5,700 in chips, is now crushing and in the chip lead with 99,000. He already cashed in Event 4: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low 8-or-Better and has quite a few other Seven Card Stud results to his name. Last year, Tryba finished eighth in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship for $38,812 and 16th in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Championship for $27,888.

Heimiller Gone

Dan Heimiller was just eliminated in a big pot that was pushed Chris Tryba's way and also involved Ben Logan. Heimiller recently lost a pot to Andy Bloch and was left very short before getting all in on this hand early.

Heimiller: (x)(x) / {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} / (x)
Tryba: (x)(x) / {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{J-Spades} / (x)
Logan: (x)(x) / {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} / (x)

Tryba bet on sixth and then again on seventh. Both times, Logan made the call, but it was a painful one on the end. Tryba first turned over the {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and said, "I have two pair at minimum." He then turned up the {K-Spades} that he got on seventh, having not looked at it yet, and made a flush. Logan mucked his hand and was left with about 2,000 in chips. Heimiller mucked as well and was eliminated.

Triple for Cousineau

Tony Cousineau just won a pot to stay alive and get back to 4,500 in chips after beating Jonathan Duhamel and Larry St. Jean in a pot.

Duhamel: (x)(x) / {K-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} / (x)
Cousineau: (x)(x) / {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} / (x)
St. Jean: (x)(x) / {8-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} / (x)

Duhamel drove the betting for most of the way until seventh when he and St. Jean checked. St. Jean turned over the {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to show that he had made eights and fours for two pair. Duhamel mucked. Cousineau showed the {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for kings and sixes and won the main pot.

Bradley Busts D'Agostino

Cheryl Bradley just busted John D'Agostino by making trip sixes and beating D'Agostino's pair of nines.

Her largest score was $20,200 coming from 1997 in a $1,000 Seven Card Stud event at the Hall of Fame Poker Classic in Las Vegas. She also cashed in the $1,500 Seven Card Stud WSOP event in 1993 for $2,595.

Trip Aces for Richey

Richey: (x)(x) / {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} / (x)
Bradley: (x)(x) / {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} / (x)

Bradley called Richey down on every street including seventh, only to see Richey table trip aces and win the pot. Richey's down cards were {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.
