Hinkle Doubles Through Gross

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

We walked into the middle of a raising war between Jeff Gross and Blair Hinkle. We saw that Gross opened up the action, and that Hinkle had three bet it from the small blind to 850. It got back around to Gross, and he put in a fourth bet to 1,800. Hinkle went into the tank for a minute or so, before stacking the rest of his chips, and sticking them in. It was 5,600 more to Gross, and he went into the tank for a couple minutes. Eventually, he tossed in the call, but he didn't look too thrilled about it. When the cards were revealed, we saw why.

Gross: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Hinkle: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The flop hardly brought a sweat for Gross, coming {3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}. He could catch runner runner for a straight, but the {j-Diamonds} on the turn ended it. The river was the {8-Diamonds}, and Hinkle got the full double to 13,000, while Gross fell down to 2,250.

Pocket Rockets For Ho

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Jeff Madsen raised to 350 and Ting Ho who is the girlfriend of poker pro Rex Clinkscales called out of the big blind. The flop fell {2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Madsen bet 425. Ho decided on a check-raise to 1025. Madsen called and they went to the turn of the {2-Spades}. Ho fired out 2,200. Madsen thought but mucked.

Ho could not help her self and had to show her Pocket Rockets {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. She was kicking under the table in frustration because she wanted all the money to get in so she could get a double up.

Showers Again for Mercier

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Jason Mercier came into the series on a major heater after crushing the EPT Monte Carlo. He has publically offered a ton of bracelet bets, but we are 11 events in, and he has yet to make a day 2. That won't change today, as we just saw him casually talking with players in the field. We went over to his chair, and his seat was empty, with no chips in front of it. Busto.

Hwang Gets Tripped

Level 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

We caught up with Andy Hwang playing a hand where Hwang and two other players took a flop with 2,800 in the pot. Hwang saw a flop of {2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and elected to check as did his opponents. On the turn of the {a-Clubs} Hwang bet out 1,550. Only one opponent called.

The river the {j-Hearts} caused Hwang to check. His opponent then bet big with 4,150. Hwang tanked and called. His opponent showed {j-Spades}{q-Clubs} for trip jacks and that won the pot.

Hwang sails down to 11,400.
