Salem Bubbles

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Naseem Salem: {x-}{x-} / {q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts} / {x-}
Eric Rodawig: {x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}

Salem completed, Rodawig raised, and Salem called. Rodawig bet-called on fourth, then the action was fast and furious on fifth and sixth, but in the end Salem was all in with two pair queens and eights. Rodawig hit an ace on seventh, so his hand was {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, and Salem bricked on his full house draw, exiting on the stone bubble.

Hastings vs. Miller

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ryan Miller: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Spades} / {x-}
Brian Hastings: {x-}{x-} / {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{9-Spades} / {x-}
Joe Tehan: {x-}{x-} / {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

We caught the action on fourth when Ryan Miller bet after action had checked to him. Two calls followed, and then Miller bet when he took the lead on fifth. Brian Hastings called, Joe Tehan folded and it was heads-up action to sixth, which both players checked. They did the same on seventh and Hastings tabled the {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs} for nine and eights.

It was good as Miller sent his cards to the muck.

Matusow Coming Back

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Mike Matusow more than doubles
Mike Matusow more than doubles

Gavin Smith: {x-}{x-} / {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} (FOLD)
Mike Matusow: {x-}{x-} / {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} / {x-}
Eugene Katchalov: {x-}{x-} / {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds} / {x-}
Jose-Luis Velador: {x-}{x-} / {2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} / {x-}

Smith completed, Matusow raised, and Katchalov, Velador, and Smith call. Matusow led out on fourth, Katchalov called, Velador raised, and Smith folded. Matusow put in a third bet, moving all in, Katchalov called, and Velador raised. Katchalov called.

Katchalov check-called on sixth, then check-folded on seventh. Velador showed two pair, Matusow turned over his first two down cards ({q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}) and needed to pair up to survive. He found a double when he turned over the {j-Diamonds} and circled around the table, pumping his fist in excitement.

Matusow won another hand shortly after, and now has over 80,000 chips.

Ashton's Two Pair Good Against Mariani

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Matthew Ashton: {x-}{x-} / {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} / {x-}
Francis Mariani: {x-}{x-} / {2-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts} / {x-}

Francis Mariani had the bring in with the {2-Spades} and opted to make it a full 4,000. Action folded around to Matthew Ashton and he called with the {K-Clubs} showing. Ashton then check-called bet on fourth, fifth and sixth before both players checked seventh.

Mariani: {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Ashton: {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Ashton didn't seem confident in his two pair when he tabled his hand, but it turned out to be good as Mariani flashed a lower two pair before mucking his hand.

Sick Chop for Vo and Miller

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ryan Miller: {x-}{x-} / {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} / {x-}
Tuan Vo: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Joe Tehan: {x-}{x-} / {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} (FOLD)

Miller brought it in, Vo completed, and both Tehan and Miller called. Vo bet out on fourth street, both players called, and the trio checked on fifth. The action checked to Miller on sixth, who bet, and this time only Vo called.

Vo checked dark before seventh, then called a bet from Miller.

Miller: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Vo: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Vo thought he had the low locked up, but actually would've been scooped by Miller had he not hit an ace on seventh. The two chopped the pot to Vo's delight.
