Cousineau Stays Alive

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Joe Tehan: {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{X-}
Tony Cousineau: {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

We missed the betting, and by the time we arrived the cards had all been mixed. What we do know is that Tony Cousineau, who holds the record for most World Series of Poker cashes without a bracelet, made a flush to scoop an all-in pot against Joe Tehan's three jacks.

Cory Zeidman (Day 1) - Eliminated
Cory Zeidman (Day 1) - Eliminated

Naseem Salem: {x-}{x-} / {8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} / {x-}
Cory Zeidman: {x-}{x-} / {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades} / {x-}
Tom Schneider: {x-}{x-} / {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}

When we arrived at the table, Zeidman was already all in. There was betting on the side on seventh, and then Salem and Schneider tabled their hands.

Schneider: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Salem: {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Schneider had the high, Salem the low, and Zeidman angrily mucked his cards without us catching them.

Over on Table 430, Fu Wong was eliminated by Eugene Katchalov, who made aces up.

"Perfect Seven"

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Eric Rodawig: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} / {x-}
Timothy Finne: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {x-}

After Eric Rodawig completed with the {A-Hearts}, Timothy Finne raised with the {a-Diamonds}. Rodawig called, and then bet when Finne checked fourth. Finne made the call and then he bet when Rodawig checked fifth. A call was made, both players checked sixth and Finne check-called a bet n seventh.

Rodawig: {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Finne: {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

"Perfect seven with a pair of twos," Rodawig said. His low was good, but his high wasn't as Finne tabled two pair.

The two may have chopped that pot, but it seems they're both doing good nonetheless as they have bigger stacks in front of them than the last time we checked in.

"The Mouth" Survives "Crazy Marco"

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Mike Matusow: {x-}{x-} / {2-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Marco Johnson: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts} / {x-}

We caught the action on fifth street when Mike "The Mouth" Matusow tank-called a bet from "Crazy Marco" Johnson. Both players then checked sixth and Matusow led out on seventh. Johnson called and the cards were turned up.

Matusow: {a-}{6-}{4-}
Johnson: {j-}{j-}{5-Diamonds}

Johnson had the high with jacks and fives, while Matusow took half the pot with an eight-six low.

Katchalov and Johnson Chop Up Guss

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 700 ante

Brandon Guss: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} (FOLD)
Eugene Katchalov: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs} / {x-}
Jose-Luis Velador: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds} (FOLD)
Marco Johnson: {x-}{x-} / {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts} / {x-}

Velador brought it in, Johnson completed, Guss raised, and Katchalov and Johnson called. The action checked to Johnson on fourth and fifth street, and he bet both times. Guss and Katchalov called both bets. On sixth, when Katchalov caught a fourth club - and Gavin Smith called him "Katchaclub" - he led out. Only Johnson called.

Johnson called another bet on seventh, and the hands were opened.

Katchalov: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Johnson: {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}

The two split the pot.
