Aaron Takes Out Leah

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Just a few minutes after the last post, we witnessed Mike Leah make his exit from the tournament.

We caught the turn, where Leah was all-in for around 8000 against Jeff Aaron. The river came {q-Diamonds}. Leah slowly revealed a busted {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}, and Aaron showed {k-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

"That's a good hand," Leah said in his usual jovial manner, as he exited the tournament. Aaron scooped the pot to bring his stack up to around 18,000.

Mike Leah

We caught a strange pot with Mike Leah, who raised to 800 in late position and got 2 callers before the flop.

Flop: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

All three players check. The turn comes {2-Hearts}, and all three players check again. The river comes {5-Clubs}, and all three players check yet again.

Leah fliped over {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}, and joked "King high," "I didn't see that, I would have bet." Leah ended up dragging the pot, bringing his stack up to around 8000.

Joe Elpayaa and an opponent were all in preflop when Elpayaa flipped up {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and his opponent flipped up {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

It was a classic race for Elpayaa's stack.

The flop came clean {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. The turn came clean with the {2-Diamonds}.

The river... also came clean with the {7-Hearts} and Joe Elpayaa doubled up to 25,000.

Greenstein Gets His Man to Call

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Barry Greenstein and an opponent were heads up on a flop of {2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} with Greenstein checking first. His opponent bet out 2,000 and Greenstein made the call. The turn was the {5-Clubs} and both players checked. The river brought out the {4-Clubs} and Greenstein fired out 3,000. His opponent took a minute, grabbed calling chips, and tossed them into the middle.

Greenstein flipped up his {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for top pair which was good because all his opponent could muster up was pocket sevens. Greenstein is up to 20,200

Cunningham's Kings No Good

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We caught a hand with Allen Cunningham, where he 2-bet before the flop to 4,200. His opponent called, making a nearly 12,000 pot.

The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, and both players slowly checked down the hand, with the {Q-Clubs} turn and the {7-Diamonds} river.

Cunningham showed {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}, but his opponent showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a higher 2-pair.
