Ho Scoops It

Level 10

Picking up with the action on a flop of {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{K-Spades}, we saw Alexander Kostritsyn lead out with a bet and Maria Ho called. The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Kostritsyn slowed down with a check. Ho led out and Kostritsyn called to see the final card.

Fifth street brought the {Q-Clubs} and Kostritsyn checked once again. Ho fired a bet and Kostritsyn called. Ho rolled over {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for top two with aces and kings and took down the pot.

Klein Scoops Soulier

Level 10

Board: {Q-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

We came upon the table to see James Dempsey check the turn over to Harold Klein who fired out a bet. Fabrice Soulier dipped into his stack and came out with a raise. Dempsey called two bets and Klein called as well.

Fifth street brought a third club to the board- the {7-Clubs} - and Dempsey checked once more. Klein fired out a bet on this street and Soulier opted to just flat call. Dempsey picked his hand up off of the felt, looked at it, and threw it down toward the muck. Klein tabled {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a club-flush for the high and the nut low. A dejected Soulier was stunned to be scooped held onto his cards for a moment, continuously looking back down at them before finally throwing them into the muck. Kein, who started the day as the chip leader, is climbing ever-higher now with 95,000 in chips.

Pescatori Ousted

Level 10

The player under the gun opened with a raise and Max Pescatori flat called. The flop came down {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Pescatori's opponent checked. Pescatori fired a bet a received a call.

The {8-Clubs} paired the board on fourth street and Pescatori's opponent thought for a moment.

"You check?" asked Pescatori. His opponent made mention that he was still thinking. "Take your time," replied Pescatori.

In the end it was checked to Pescatori who fired once more. His opponent tank-called and then fired out when the {Q-Spades} hit the river. Pescatori let it go and his opponent was pushed the pot. After this hand Pescatori was left sitting on about 6,500 in chips. He was eliminated soon after.

Short-Stacked Finne Doubles

Level 10

Tim Finne raised from UTG+1 and Kevin Zhang three-bet from UTG+2. Action folded back to Finne who called.

The flop came down {J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Finne's remaining 1,200 or so found its way to the middle.

Finne: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Zhang: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{3-Hearts}

The {A-Diamonds} hit the turn to give Zhang top two pair in addition to his flush draw, but the {5-Diamonds} landed on the river to give Finne trip fives to win the pot. There was no qualifying low.
