Busquet Crippled, Eliminated

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Olivier Busquet has been eliminated.
Olivier Busquet has been eliminated.

Olivier Busquet got all in with {k-Spades}{10-Hearts} against Eoghan O'Dea's {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. We're not sure when the chips went in, but we do know the board ran out {6-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, and Busquet's tens were inferior to O'Dea's queens.

Masayuki Nagata finished him off with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} against Busquet's {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

Adler Fades Massive Draw to Double

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

David Adler opened to 27,000 from the button, and Majid Yahyaei called from the small blind.

Yahyaei checked the {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, and Adler bet 50,000. Yahyaei jammed it in, and Adler called immediately.

"You have a nine?" he asked. Yahyaei shook his head, and Adler tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. Yahyaei showed {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for a straight flush draw. The turn came {2-Clubs}, and the river was a {10-Clubs}, and Adler raised both fists in victory.

"The Old Four-High Call"

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Steve Bartlett obviously felt he had pot odds to call with any two, as he called an all-in from a middle position player while holding just {4-}{3-}. The other player had {k-Spades}{j-Spades}.

"The old four-high call," Bartlett said as he tabled his hand.

The flop was a good one for him: {2-}{6-}{4-}, and his opponent was dead to a chop after a {3-} arrived on the turn. The river filled Bartlett with a {4-}, and he had transformed his four-high into a near-nut hand.
