Adam Friedman and his dad, Marc, are both in today
Adam Friedman and his dad, Marc, are both in today

Last year Adam Friedman won his first World Series of Gold bracelet by taking down Event #15: $5,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better $269,037. Ironically, he had been featured in PokerNews' popular Where Are They Now? series just six weeks earlier. Not only did Adam answer that question by winning a bracelet, he shook the stigma of being the man who shed a tear in a 2005 WSOP Main Event hand that occurred at an outer table and was captured by ESPN's cameras.

Today, Friedman is in pursuit of his second gold bracelet, but even more exciting for him is that he's sharing the experience with his father, Marc Friedman. Last night Marc was able to win a satellite into today's tournament, and while the two aren't seated anywhere near one another, they're not far from each other's thoughts.

Adam FriedmanMy dad won the horse saty tonight and will be joining me in the $5k Horse tomorrow! This is going to be awesome.

Adam was quick to point his dad out to our live reporting team, and then Marc was quick to ask how his son was doing when we moseyed by his table.

We'll certainly be keeping an eye on the Friedman family as the day progress.
