Binh Ta Eliminated in 5th Place ($114,017)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Binh Ta, WSOP 2013 Event 3 Day 03 Final Table
Binh Ta, WSOP 2013 Event 3 Day 03 Final Table

Preflop Binh Ta moved all in from the cutoff for 545,000 chips. Action folded to Michael Cooper in the big blind. He only thought for a moment before making the call and turning over his {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Binh was holding the {J-Spades}{7-Spades} and his two cards we're behind, but live against Cooper's ace high.

The flop rolled out {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Spades} giving Cooper a major sweat, but the {5-Hearts} on the turn and the {9-Hearts} on the river were none of Ta's out and he was sent to the rail, but not before collecting his six-figure payday.

Ryan Olisar - 6th place.
Ryan Olisar - 6th place.

Action folded to Binh Ta in the cutoff, who raised to 90,000. Charles Sylvestre jammed all in from the small blind, and Ryan Olisar went into the tank in the big blind. Finally, he called off his stack. Ta folded.

"Please say you're light," Olisar said. Sylvestre confirmed he was indeed.

Sylvestre: {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Olisar: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Off to the races we went, and Sylvestre pulled ahead when the flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. He kept his lead on a {5-Hearts} turn. Paint landed on the river, but it was the {q-Clubs}, and Olisar, who notched a final table finish for the second straight year here at the WSOP, was sent to the rail.

Sylvestre Fighting Back

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Charles Sylvestre seems to be the only player capable of slowing Seth Berger's momentum, as he continues to open pots aggressively. In a recent hand, Sylvestre three-bet an 85,000 open from Berger to 225,000. After Berger called, Sylvestre followed up with a continuation-bet of the same size on a {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, to which Berger folded.

Ruben Ybarra , WSOP 2013 Event 3 Day 03 Final Table

Ruben Ybarra started the final table as the chip leader but he no longer has any chips after tangling with Seth Berger.

In the hand Berger opened to 60,000 chips. He was only called by Ybarra in the big blind. The flop fell {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{K-Spades} and Ybarra decided to check. Berger made a continuation bet of 65,000 and Ybarra made the call.

The turn came out the {5-Hearts}. Ybarra checked again. Berger bet out 100,000. This time, Ybarra put in a check raise to 500,000. Berger tanked for a bit before making the call.

The river came the {J-Diamonds} and immediately Ybarra moved all in. Berger quickly made the call with {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for the turned nut flush. Ybarra showed his inferior {K-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for just top pair and he was sent to the rail, with $47,925 for his troubles.

Olisar Doubles

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Charles Sylvestre raised to 60,000 from middle position, and Ryan Olisar shipped it from his immediate left. Everyone else folded, and Sylvestre put in the 335,000 total to call.

Sylvestre: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Olisar: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Olisar was in a dominating position, and further tightened his hold on the hand when he flopped a set on {5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}. A {k-Hearts} turn left Sylvestre drawing dead, and he knuckled the table in submission as the {a-Diamonds} finished out the board.

Binh Ta Doubles Up

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Preflop Daren Rabinowitz raised to 60,000. Binh Ta moved all in over the top for 475,000 total. Action folded back around to Rabinowitz who snap called.

Rabinowitz: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Ta: {A-Spades}{5-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} giving Ta a full house and a double up to just over 1,000,000 chips. Rabinowitz was just left just over 200,000 chips.

Sylvestre's Boat Good

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Binh Ta limped from early position, Charles Sylvestre limped along, and Darren Rabinowitz checked his option

The flop fell {k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, and Ta bet 50,000. Sylvestre called. The turn was the {k-Hearts}, and both players checked to see a {6-Spades} river. Ta checked, and Sylvestre bet 90,000. Ta came out with a check-raise to 250,000. Sylvestre made a quick call, and Ta showed him {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Sylvestre's {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} was good for a full house, and he scooped the pot, much to the delight of a rail section that includes 2010 Main Event winner Jonathan Duhamel.
