Break It Down

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

The players are taking their last break of the evening. When they return, they will play two more levels, or until we get to a final table, whichever comes first.

Jones' House

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Noomis Jones opened the pot with a bet of 21,000 from the cut-off, before Leif Force raised to 75,000 from the button.

“We doing this sir?” said Force, after putting in the raise.

“Umm.. I dunno,” was Jones’ response, as he took a minute to decide, before making the call.

“I check dark,” said Jones, turning his head away from the table. The flop came down {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{A-Clubs} as Force couldn’t wait to move all in.

“I like the flop,” he said. He went all in for not much more before pleading “Don’t look, don’t look,” but Jones’ had already turned his head back.”

“I call,” announced Jones, tabling {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a flopped full house. Force reluctantly tabled his {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, before pleading for running low cards. The {6-Spades} gave him outs to the low, but the {K-Hearts} sealed his fate, as he walked out of the tournament floor.

“Hero,” mumbled Force to himself, upset about his elimination.

The Deck Not Kind to Deck

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Woody Deck and Andy Seth got in a preflop raising war that saw all of Deck's chips go into the middle. Deck held {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and he was up against the {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} of Seth. The flop came down {4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}, and Seth paired his four to take the lead. Deck starting asking for a five, but the turn was the {2-Hearts}. Down to his last card, Deck once again asked for a five, but the river was the {10-Hearts}, giving Seth an unneeded two pair. Deck busted out just short of the final two tables, while Seth is back towards the top of the counts with 260,000.

Simao's on Broadway

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On a flop of {8-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Jeff Lisandro moved all in for his last 27,000, before Joao SImao raised over the top, to force Eric Rodawig out of the pot.

Lisandro: {8-Spades}{J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Simao: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{J-Spades}

Simao made his straight on the {J-Diamonds} turn, and Lisandro couldn’t improve on the {Q-Hearts} river to see him eliminated from the tournament.

Harwood Quarters Seth

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Loni Harwood and Andy Seth got in a raising war that saw Seth all in before the flop.

Harwood: {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}
Seth: {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The flop came down {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}, giving Harwood the nut low, and both players a pair of fours with an ace kicker. If it stayed like that, Harwood would get 3/4 the pot, and that's exactly what happened, as the board completed {q-Clubs} and {8-Spades}. After that pot, Seth was down to 66,000, while Harwood jumped up to 245,000.

Bronshtein Rivers Perfect

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Four players limped into the pot, before a flop of {4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} was spread out by the dealer. Barry Greenstein checked from the blinds, before Woody Deck led out for 12,000 from under the gun. Yuval Bornshtein then moved all in for his last 43,000 as Loren Kline and Greenstein both got out of the way.

“Good Luck,” said Deck, making the call and tabling his {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Bronshtein rolled over {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, before the board ran out the {9-Diamonds} and {4-Hearts} to see him hit trips to take down the pot.
